Gordon,

I haven't noticed any discrimination against women as a marketing consultant, either online or offline. I do seem to attract a disproportionate number of women as clients and fans of my work as I do not use "killer" and "business is war" imagery in my marketing, and women respond to that. I have about 40% male clients, so this indicates to me that I am not overdoing the female-friendly approach. I am probably better off not dealing with macho types, anyway.

One man criticized me for using pink on my Web site as an unprofessional color. Another man congratulated me for using a fresh color combination.

I am very happy in what I do and don't feel that anything is holding me back other than the natural limits of my own (really, anyone's) creativity and industriousness.
