Since I've been there and "felt the energy" for myself, I definitely volunteer.
The feeling at the cave was very similar to the "chi" energy I've felt during qiqong -- even as a fellow open-minded skeptic:-)
Re sounds altering brain states, chanting mantras at different tonalities can alter mood and state via their vibrational qualities on the mind/body. Also, in qiqong, there are the "six healing sounds" that supposedly affect and heal various organs of the body.
