To quote the show description...

Screening the week prior to the SBS premiere of stylish cult hit series Mad Men, this documentary looks at the life and shine of the greatest post-war ad tycoon, David Ogilvy. Ogilvy was a man famous for leading a revolution in advertising, feeding dreams and shaping aspirations with famous campaigns, slogans and jingles. After an erratic education, a spell at Oxford and a year in France working as an apprentice chef, he started selling stoves door to door in Scotland. Although a natural salesman, Ogilvy turned his back on the profession at the end of World War II, and retreated to the Amish community in Pennsylvania. Paradoxically, it was during this period that Ogilvy began to think about starting a career in advertising. Ogilvy arrived in Madison Avenue in 1948, and when no one would hire him, he began his own agency, which later became Ogilvy & Mather. Starting with no clients and a staff of two, he built his company into the largest advertising conglomerate in the world. In time this would become the era of the Mad Men, the men of Madison Avenue who worked out of sleek offices, chain-smoked and conjured up the heaven-on-earth vision of suburban consumer splendour.
