I just got the MP3 audio version of Napoleon Hill’s book “Outwitting the Devil: The Secret to Freedom and Success” which was written in 1938 (the year after Hill published Think and Grow Rich) but never released until now because Hill’s wife thought it would be to controversial and would offend most religious people. This book should have been combined into one book as part two of “Think and Grow Rich”.
In it Hill interviews the Devil and the Devil claims that his most effective tool to put a person in hell is to condition them to be a drifter who accepts the thoughts of others as gospel truth instead of being an independent thinker and one of the most effective ways of doing that is to brainwash children with the religious beliefs of their parents.
No wonder why Hill’s wife insisted the book not be published until a certain number of years had passed after their deaths.
Have you read it or listened to the audio version and if so what do you think of it?
I think the Devil Hill interviewed was imaginary but much of what that imaginary devil had to say is true.
Cheers,
Steve
