ONE "nutcase" (that is OPINION folks) in FL (and why do they always seem to come from FL and/or OH?) and the world is preparing for the end days.

A "pastor" with an alledged congregation of about 50 people threatened to have a Koran burning tomorrow on Sept. 11.

The world went nuts.

Is this going to set off a new wave of "threats" from the fringe so they can claim their 2 mins of "notoriety"?

What the media COULD do, is to ignore this guy completely...so are they complicit in the problem.

Or do they intentionally look for the small sparks and fan them into giant flames?

Pretty AMAZING use of the media.

One of my many "mantras" is to learn from people who have done it.

Tom Campbell is one such person.

Tom is a former MicroSoft program manager and he currently is CEO of a site which currently is used to place over $300 million in bids on eBay every year. Tom likes to streamline things, and he hates reinventing the wheel.

I can't remember where I saw it, or even the numbers they used.

It was something like..."there is no difference in response between $49 and $97". There were other number ranges mentioned.

NOW, as others; pundits, politicians and businesses are trumpting a stable economy with growth...albeit slow but steady...

I'm going to say, we've only been in the eye of the storm and the back side is about to crash into us, shortly after the elections in Nov.

In other words, we ain't seen nothing yet.

So, I'm going to say...Get Ready. Be Prepared. Have a strategy which will help you through the very soon to come "turbulent" times and hunker down for the long haul.

Pretty generic advice, eh?

Specifically, get your CASH working for you. Get off of credit. Get out of debt. Get multiple streams of income in force.

MORE specifically? Get a handle on your budget, know your expenses, INCREASE your income, SAVE for a rainy day. Participate in your community. Gather friends and family and bring them into the "preparedness" fold. The "Mormons" offer up a good plan, in that they like to have a supply of stored food, and stored money to help them through personal hard times and they support each other.

Multiple streams of income?

Have as many INFORMATION PRODUCTS working for you as you can. They can be a life line in the event of an emergency.

Build SKILLSETS which may come in handy, such as auto mechanic (if so inclined)...and build a "network" of people, via a club perhaps, who can help each other out for "costs"...a plumber, electrician, handyman, etc., who can bring some skills to the table.

Look for CASH opportunities, like buying and selling of personal and corporate property.

Try to create/acquire a PRODUCT you have exclusive rights too, and one that is popular and lends itself to steady sales.

Get your REAL ESTATE in order, and fortify it with upgrades and comfort. Especially look at your electrical and plumbing.

GET ready for new taxes, in the form of FEES, coming at you from all levels of gov't and for every imaginable thing "they" can think of.

Have solid, reliable and energy efficient transportation.

We have weathered the front side of the hurricane, but, the backside is going to pack a Wallop of "historic" proportions.

It will hit full force in NOV. of this year and may continue for several months and drive millions of people to the brink of their personal disasters.

OK. That is going to be one of my last "predictions" before I move on.

You are, of course, free to make your own and, hopefully, your's will be a little bit more cheery than mine. From an INDIVIDUAL view, it is a great time to get active...from the "big picture" WORLD view, it isn't looking good for the Western World.
