Register up to 10 years in advance. Take note?
This not-so-new situation is growing unfortunately. What I don't understand about this situation is, why aren't people registering their domain names for longer periods of time?
I totally understand registering a new domain for a year to see if you can make that domain a new business/product and then having the ability to dump it if the idea turns out to be a flop within that year. However, I strongly suggest anyone with any domain that is either paying for itself or making money to excercise the long registration option. Heck, godaddy even gives you greater discounts when you do that. When I registered my newest domain makemoneycentral.com, I registered it for a year. Now, I've got that domain registered through April, 2005 because it turned out to be successful with affiliate sales. I don't even let any registrars worry about me registering, I am never in that 6 month period... Just my 2 cents Scott Buehler http://www.makemoneycentral.com/ Make Money Online |
