you might try the Nokia N95, it's one of the first in the

Re: The RCA Small Wonder is going into several stockings this Christmas... & Biz ideas...

I got a 30 Min Flip cam when I saw it in Costco in June for about $90 and since the RCA cam is made by them the video should be just as good. I've also seen the RCA cam in Walmart and most major retailers like Circuit City and Best Buy have 'em too. Nice to see they're still developing it and prices are getting cheaper as time goes on.

Here's a business idea or two for the entrepreneurial ones here...

If you live in or near a popular tourist area, why not start a video cam rental business? You could partner with local hotels to offer them the cameras and rent them out for $20 a day and when Dad comes back at the end of the day with the full camera they can burn the video to a CD. At $20 a day it's paid for in a week and you could split the profits with the hotel - or they're so cheap you could sell them directly to tourists and not have to bother with the rental biz.

Just a thought, but there are all kinds of ways you could develop a business around this cheap but good little camera!

MegaPixel Memories

Digital Video Cameras and Recorders Rentals, Accessories, and Printing

Space for your kiosk could be on a profit percentage or monthly rental.

Your overhead: Laptop computer, wi-fi or other wireless connection hardware and account, portable merchant card account reader and account, receipt printer, DV Cameras, DV Recorders, various memory media for sale and rent, batteries, battery chargers, super fast CDRW/DVD media software and burner, CD-ROM cases and labels

I guess I could go on for a little while longer. Point is, all you need is already available at pretty reasonable prices.

Here’s a couple of ideas to further monetize this; just like the car rental companies, offer liability insurance 1 or two bucks per day. Otherwise, the renter is responsible for x% of the cameras value if lost or damaged. Also, set up an “upload to the net area.” This would be a place where folks can post their photos or videos immediately (once they bought the PC unlock dongle from you) to their favorite web site. And let’s not forget the wonderful benefits of a Host/Beneficiary relationship with you as the host and the local tourist and outfitters industries as the beneficiaries with the opt-in list you’ll build with your computer users as they start at your portal website with an incredible opt-in offer they would be foolish to refuse. Your email content would be hints, tips, secrets, sports news, related to your venue and exclusive offers available only through you. How easy would that be?:)

Just THINKING here.

Talking about Rentals...

Here's another Idea that many Consumers are looking for...

Not everyone has a Digital Camera/Camcorder or wants to buy one...

But Lots of people that Don't... Are interested in Renting and/or Using a Digital Camera service...

Instantly and on the Spot! :)

A short term rental and/or Service complete with a CD & email delivery system would work well...

Everywhere we go shopping our Digital Camera goes with us... Making the decision making process Simple & Easy once we review things...

Furniture, Decorating, Art, Home Renovation, Real Estate, Cars and other investments...

Cut some deals with the Mid to High end retailers and other businesses... Getting access to their Customers...

And consider Marketing your Digital Services directly to the Businesses as an Added Value package to their Customers... ;)
