Re: Think your unemployable?
Hey Mark,
I know exactly what you're saying. I'm in the same boat. Self employed fot the last 17 years and find myself in need of a JOB. This is what I found. Do you have any sales experience? I found a company called U.S. Hospitality. USHospitality.com. Check them out. They offer several products but the main one is, they produce in-room hotel directories, TV channel stands and hotel keys (with ads ala Don Alm). These are given to the hotels for free. Your job is to go out and sell the ads for these products. They pay 50% commissions and you don't have to do anything but sell the ads and collect the money. The contract with the hotel gets you a free hotel room for up to 10 days at no charge. They give you everything you need. I have put together restaurant guides myself with Don's ideas but they were not nearly as nice and didn't get into the hotel rooms like these do. That was the biggest problem I had is the advertisers wanted in the rooms but my guides were pretty esay to sell so I'm really excieted about this program. You're not an employee but work under contract. I like that too. They prefer older reps, 50 and over but they will hire anyone with sales experience. Another program they offer is Wedding Guides. Take a business that has weddings, i.e. hotels, old victorian homes etc. They produce these guides for them at no charge and you sell ads to limo businesses, bridal shops, catering etc. There are several other guides they produce and the quality is excellent. With the hotel guides, you sell $4000 worth of ads and you make $2000. This can be done in 10 days or less. They claim $4000 is 12 - 15 ads. This sounds really easy and you can work in your own area or travel with lodging paid. They even tell you to find up to $300 in food trade for your meals. Anyway, this is long enough. I just wanted to pass on what I found. Good luck to you. Andy |

Phil, Would you mind giving a quick list of associated keywords??? I only ask because some of the keywords that would be used in the USA don't translate into UK parlance. For example, we don't use the word 'seniors', we use OAP - Old Aged Pensioner. Thanks, Garrett |
Re: Also....
Also...you can go one step further and offer to "REMOVE OIL STAINS FROM PARKING LOTS and DRIVE THRUS"!
There are now chemical powders that can "eat oil". You just sprinkle on...spread it out and the "powder" removes the oil stains. Totally eco-safe AND...you can make lots more per parking lot and drive-thru with this....plus, it's "more professional" than "regular cleanup". I know 3 guys "cleaning up" with this at "Mall & Dept Store Parking Lots and Drive-thru Windows at Fast Food places and Banks...and gas stations". Do a Google for "Oil Stain Removal". Don Alm |
