A simple thought on Truth.

If you can start the day without caffeine,
if you can get along without pep pills,
if you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,
If you can get excited and cheerful when seeing you loved ones after a small absence, as if it were the very first time you set eyes upon them in ages,
If your love for man does not erode with habit and time but always remain steadfastly the same, no matter how little or bad attention you are getting,
If you can accept verbal and physical abuse without automatic resentment, desire for revenge, and the need to show your inborn physical power and ability to inflict harm.
If you do not need to be proven "right" and others "wrong."
if you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles,
if you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it,
if you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time,
if you can overlook it when those you loved ones take it out on you when, through no fault of yours, something goes wrong,
if you can take criticism and blame without resentment,
if you can ignore a friend's limited education and never correct him,
if you can resist treating a rich friend better than a poor friend,
If you cannot stand fear-thoughts addressed at you by others, and only relate to love,
If you only read the intention and heart of man and not his external appearance,
if you can face the world without lies and deceit, always expressing your true feelings,
If you can always jump and get excited at the fragrance, beauty and eternal energy bestowed by the natural world,
If you would even forgo your life away without a moment of doubt in the name of Love,
If you realize that you are here to protect and guard the integrity and security of all your extended family,
If you accept death and dying as a natural cycle of Eternity,
if you can conquer tension without medical help,
if you can relax without liquor,
if you can sleep without the aid of drugs,
if you can honestly say that deep in your heart you have no prejudice against creed, color, religion or politics,
Then my dear friends you will have approached the level of spiritual development of your dog.

i.e. Why G.o.d. made a mirror image as D.o.g. to show us and express holographically in simple terms, as our best friend, what unconditional Love IS and should be. Or why A-dam's civilization should not continue making a mirror reversed image of Himself as A-mad world.

The Dog is wonderful, really in service, and Godly. It is a manifestation

Let's all be like Dogs then...

Lick our butts and balls. Take a dump anywhere. Roll in goodness knows what. Be unable to pass on our thoughts or experiences. Be unable to Create anything. Be unable to even utter our own names. And just live without any thought of our own existence or of tomorrow. And run around in the bush trying to catch our food. Rape the female of the species when its that time. And so on and so forth.

Uh hum. Truly noble... NOT.

I PROUDLY have Prejudices. If I did not I would treat a child molesting murderous serial killer the same as an Honest couldn't-hurt-a-fly citizen. I would gladly accept any aim that turns me into a sacrifical animal to Support the needy hordes. I would be... brain dead. Incapable of Logical thought or Reason - the very thing that makes us Above the other Animals on the planet.

Of course, if you or anyone else wants to be dog-like, then go right ahead. Just don't crap in my yard HA!

point is that the efforts many people make to seek the peace within the world is really within themselves ?

and

your prejuidices, I would rate as choices.

and , I believe that the majority of people are asleep at the wheel ...and need the waking up that some different approach may give them.

... I'm afraid the survival of the strongest and elimination of the weakest in society means there's a built-in need to fight. While I would love it if there were no wars, I truly believe that this is a hope too far. Evolution is to blame.

World Peace is NOT possible, nor should it be a Wish of anyone.

I'll get back to that, but first The Robber's Cave.

While the groups did Kind of Merge in the end, it required a Constant Problem to bring them together. In their case it was Real.

We have this same thing going on now. Countries, such as the USA, use a whole bunch of Imaginary Hobgoblins to Bring the country together. From non-existent HIV/AIDS and SARS to War On <s>Action</s> Terror and other Phoney stuff.

Political parties cement their Side by Blaming the other side, or those who came before. Blah blah blah.

When situations Constantly change, and over a period of time, those groups of boys Would have segmented again. And a more rigid Heirarchy would have appear. Some boys would have become Bullys.

And this is why World Peace is NOT possible. Because there are those who think it is fine and dandy to Take, Steal, Rob and Coerce members of their own country and entire other countries, for their own gains.

Your Saddams, Mugabes, Hitlers, et al, are Prime examples of this. Of living off of the efforts of others. As long as That exists, then World Peace is NOT possible. And as ALL "democratic" government works this way, then as long as there are "democratic" governments - or socialist or communist - World peace is not possible.

Why should World Peace NOT be wished for? Because it becomes a wish to control other people instead of leaving them be.

By wanting World Peace you are wanting all those who do Not want world peace, to change to suit you.

This world is the sum of its inhabitants. The mindless mind. A world Not in peace is the result.

If you want world peace, then Create your own world with Global Peace as its main principle. But don't wish to Force it onto others.

The control arguement is a flawed argument. It falls back on itself. You are trying to control my thoughts and actions by telling me that I shouldn't wish for world peace because its a wish to control others who don't want world peace. You've just gone one level deeper. (Hope thats not tooo confusing...)

Control is always going to be there - as long as you have any sort of power.

There can be no vaccum where interaction takes place. When people interact - the by-product is power.

The question is: how to channel that power / control.

on the other channel , Saddam was telling his folks that ALLAH had directed him to oppose the in invasion ...

both guys talking to their GODS....who control the destiny of men.

anyway , my original point ....and the PIECE part of it ...was the fragmentation of the world society due to everyones pursuit of HIS/HER happiness at the cost of someone else's 'happiness'...

and the fact that the 'activities' listed are very seldom achieved by ME...sure that some of yall have the fragmentation firmly together...

but that the dog has these activities as a way of life ...

unfortunately, I agree with Michael...as long as ANYone wants his or her happiness at the expense of someone else ....there will be fragmentation.

until the INDIVIDUAL person has as her mission the happiness of other people as the definition of HER happiness the splits will occur..and, having know several women with that attitude of 'service', they eventually get tired of giving and not getting back.

AIDS: Do people suffer from it? Yes. It it caused by HIV - note my specific use of the term HIV/AIDS? The answer is NO.

SARS: More people die from pneumonia each and every day than died of SARS during the entire scaremongering fiasco, or even since SARS was first Identified.

WAR ON TERROR: Terror is an Emotion. You cannot have a war against an Emotion. If you say it's Terrorism, I debate that. The word Terror has been Cleverly Chosen. If it was Terrorism, then that too would be equally as useless because Terrorism is an Action, a Style of Warfare. It's as equally silly to declare a War On Running or a War On Sniping as it is a War on Terror. A War On Terrorism is like saying a War on War Tactics. And that's absurd.

Why not call it a War On Terrorists? Because then the Enemy could be Clearly Defined and we would all know whether a Government Decree would be a step in achieving the object. But "Terror" muddies the waters and the Govt can define it however they please.

Let me give you the definition of Terrorism...

The US Department of Defense defines it as "the unlawful use of -- or threatened use of -- force or violence against individuals or property to coerce or intimidate governments or societies, often to achieve political, religious, or ideological objectives."

Please note very carefully the term "unlawful" in there. It is there to Allow the Powers That Be to commit the same Acts, but deem them Lawful, isn't it?

If you remove that word - unlawful - then you Broaden the scope. And you see that what the US, Britain, Australia, Poland, are doing in Iraq, what Mugabe is doing in Zimbabwe, and so on in other parts of the world, all fall under the blanket term of Terrorism. And whether a person is called a Terrorist or Freedopm Fighter or Resistance, all depends on which side you are on - To Hitler, the Resistance were Terrorists.

This WOT is just Another Sounds-Good Reason to Limit your freedoms - freedom of movement, freedom of financial secrecy, and so on. It's all a bunch of small steps.

This is the same Jibble put forth for eons. To "live for others". Obviously, this is Flawed as you yourself immediately state after the above...


If Happiness was achieved by Serving Others, then these woman would have been Happy.

THINK for a moment WHO is telling you to achieve happiness by serving others? The Church? Hmmm.... think they have something to gain.

ANY time someone tells you to Serve Others there is a Slave/Master thing at play somewhere. If you look you will find it.

Happiness - however that is defined - would be Better Achieved by... pleasing yourself without infringing upon other people's property rights while Not expecting Something For Nothing. An Equal Exchange of Values, in other words.

What happens instead is, people try to get values for nothing from other people. To Control them for their own benefit. To withhold information the other person would need to make an Informed Decision.

Children see this in action from their parents, teachers, politicians and so on. And simply Adopt what they see without question.

We touched on this Briefly on the other forum. Conflict can be resolved by two people Unless...

1. There is a Thirdy Party involved

2. One is trying to get values for nothing from the other person (Control them for their own gain).

Actually, it's Not a flawed arguement.

World Peace is achieved Only by Not wanting Power over others - something unlikely to happen on this planet. I am merely Stating and pointing out to you, the very idea of wanting world peace is to want power over others - to control them for your wishes, and to Assume everyone else wants the same as you. And this is to be guilty of the same thing the more-visible "world Not at peace" people are guilty of.

Me? I have no such desire. I do not wish to change the world. I am quite okay with Letting it and its inhabitants be how they want to be. I merely point out the hypocrisy of wanting world peace.

POWER: Power can not be taken it can only be Given. If someone has POwer over you it is because YOU give them that power.

If I do not give my power willingly, the only recourse a power monger has is to turn it into something physical. But Physical power only has a limited effect and can backfire doubly so.
