As for one that I'd probably buy today, that would be B.

Tell me something I don't know... Give me headline that grabs an OLD WORN OUT persons attention. Ya know there are plenty of us out here....

I would call it "How to make a living when you are old, tired, frustrated and broke.." hotsheet.

AND remember this: empathy AND sympathy play a MAJOR part in your writings.... Not every business is right for every person. BUT if you determine 'where' the mind of your reader is, you might be on the right track. AND if your headlines convey that message then more power to ya.

Of the last three options ... they all interest me (not to the tune of $99 each, but they do interest me!).

Forced to pick one, I'd go with C ... only because the source is interviews with millionaires ... while the other two options source only one person each ... JM Straw and the BUM.

JM is amazing, though I wish there was a way to unsub from his mailing list. I'm on multiple times and get duplicates! But I guess my pick is for a team of millionaires over one marketing genius.

Thanks to my "Greased Pig Speed Writing System" we're done.

After the "BUM BOOK" tested or tied for #1 - Three Times.

a - Here at sowpub
b - to a few dozen VIP's
c - To my ezine list

I wrote the sales letter and the book in 48 hrs.

Usually I can do it faster.

Because Testing to my list I don't have to wait for OPINIONS.
Everybody LUVS to get their Opinions LISTENED to.

Sowpub was slower.

Anyway.

All done.

Now I'm waiting for my webmaster Chris - to get back from his weekend
trip and post the "BUM BOOK" offer on my archive.

Sorry, I can't help hockeycoachdoug...

BUT, I now NEVER buy anything from a blind ad.

Which may be one reason my stuff doesn't sell into the tens of thousands, but I long ago decided to tell people exactly what they are buying and this is against the wisdom of many a copywriter.

It's just personal for me, no reflection on Glenn or anyone else who uses blind ads...

but my thinking is that if you have to use copywriting and curiousity to sell your products, what kind of a product is it?

Listen, over the years I've spent thousands on blind ads, and I can't recall a single product which delivered on the copy promises. They may have, but I can't think of any.

I don't buy blindly for my appliances, cars, household or even personal items...and today, I would never buy a product, even a mouth watering juicy promising how to make money info product without knowing exactly what I'm getting.

But, everyone is free to do as they want...maybe this thing is right up your alley

Even in safe Akron, OH I wouldn't be hanging out at gas stations at night, it even if santa were passing out hundred dollar bills and Snicker bars.

So, my two cents, which has nothing to do with the product has been added.

That's the same way I feel about cell phone contracts. If you have to lock me in to get me to stay, what kind of service can I expect?

I bought Glenn's BUM thing because I was curious and I'm a sucker for blind ads, and HOPE springs eternal.

I'd just as soon have my 15 minutes and my bux back, but I did get my curiosity satisfied for a time, and I'm still hoping to see Jesus come back.

Are you saying it didn't live up to the ad? I have not bought a copy so I'm a bit curious. I read quite a few WSO ads and the make 500/600 a day stuff is pretty common over there.

I only know of one real live bum type of persona who actually made upwards to a $1000 a day, He was a guy who gave up dentistry to become a street performer in San Francisco. He and several of his fellow performers were the featured speakers and performers at one of our annual NSA dinner.

Absolutely fascinating to say the least. He never told us what he made but he did pull up in a Mercedes that night and during the presentation alluded to yes, that was his car and his other car was a ? I forgot but who cares.

Hence, I can believe a street performer can make that kind of money but the locales are extremely limited. The night time "people" get arrested, at least out here. Or are told to move on if the cop doesn't want to take them to the pokey.

BTW, I know how you can get your 15 minutes back - have a cerveza...:D

I didn't say that at all. Besides, how can any product live up to a blind ad?

The ad made no promises, so there's nothing to live up to.

The closest opportunity I would have to even test out what I learned in the product, involves a drive of at least 180 miles. He gives a very specific location where this method 'works', and that location is in a LARGE population area. Such places don't exist around here.

So, I can't say if the method is any good or not.

Those that know me know that I like to test different quick cash methods. So I'm one of those people that do buy from blind ads. I see Gordon's point and I have been burnt quite a few times. But even on some of my really bad "buys" I have found nuggets of gold in the method that can be twisted to make it work. Or it may be used in a different market to succeed.

Take "Chatteling" for instance. I was doing that a long time ago but I just didn't know it was chatteling until Gordon opened my eyes. I was buying and selling until I met Gordon on this forum. Then I was "CHATTELING"!

What I got from his method at that time (quite a few years ago) did not fit me and my life style at that time. BUT the information was good. No, make that GREAT.

But I took that info and made it more on auto-pilot and that worked for me. At that time in my life (parade of life) buying and selling was too time consuming for me. Once I was able to automate the process it fit right in with my available time.

Now on to Glenn's "Bum Book". I tested it out and it worked! I made over 80 bucks per hours work. I did change some of the method to suit my image in my community. I did not want my friends and customers to think I turned into a BUM.

Now before anyone takes the posts by Gordon or Bozo as a negative let me say the only two I know of on this forum that have actual tried this method are Glenn and me. Gordon admits freely that he did not buy it, hence did not try it. And Bozo also admits he did not try it (all though he did buy it, most likely from profits of his headlight cleaning :)) and stated "So, I can't say if the method is any good or not."

And Glenn and I have made a nice daily profit for our tests. Disclaimer! I will not be working this method as a business like the Bum, but if I run across the right person in my area I will show him or her how and where I did the tests so he or she can earn some extra income.

But I will promote this as an affiliate to my list. Who knows, someone on my list may twist and turn this into a REAL profitable idea.

I think you already know I value your opinion, insight and knowledge. Your blind ad explanation fits me to a T. I've bought from blind ads and have been both happy and disappointed.

Unlike a lot of people on this forum I have met "bums" who made an absolute ALL CASH fortune from looking like bums. They called themselves street performers. I elected not to follow in their foot path. Plus I have absolutely no talent and couldn't figure out a way for people to pay me for my no talent.

I am not throwing out the baby with the bath water nor am I asking for the "secret" in Glenn's book. He did the research he is entitled to the rewards. I was merely thanking Boz for his input.

BTW, I didn't buy the headlight manual either. Simply can't see me cleaning headlights. If the gimoke is too stupid to notice he needs his headlights cleaned, well, shame on him.

Now I do have a "Bum's" program that I am limiting to 2000 people. Glenn knows what it is. He also told me it wasn't for him. That's OK too. It doesn't have to be. It is a system that makes anywhere from nothing a day to $5000 a day. All the participant has to do is follow two text messages.

The first will tell him what to buy and at what price and the second will tell him when to sell and at what price. Couldn't be simpler. The cost is a mere pittance - $90 a month. So, yours truly won't be cleaning headlights or working 24/7 gas stations.

Not because I see something inherently wrong with those programs. On the contrary. They involve manual work and I don't do manual work. I don't do manual work because my heart condition won't let me and not because I am a total snob.

Now you did mention affiliate for Glenn's program. I didn't know there was an affiliate opp attached to it. That opens up a new horizon. As long as I don't have to be the worker bee I might elect the affiliate route. Don't know that for sure but it is a possibility.
