99% Success Rate At Getting Emails Opened Using PAYPAL

Howdy Dien,

Here's what I do to get Emails opened when I email a Total Stranger,
New Ezine Subscriber or a Biz Owner I want to Interview or Joint Venture
with.

EZ and Straightforward.

I send them a **1.00 THANK YOU Note.**

The Thank You Note Contains a LINK to a Valuable Report, Case Study
or other piece of information IN That person's area of INTEREST.

FOR EXAMPLE:

Recently - I Got Several Letters from a local Insurance Agent. To Get Her to
CALL ME I sent her a 1.00 And a Link to This Report on how I Set Up Joint
Ventures by cherry picking small biz owners from local Trade Show Events.

Here is the Link I put in her "1.00 Thank You Note"
inside the little Paypal Box.

http://archive.enchantednlp.com/ezine.php?issueno=2476

The
Reason Why
It
gets
Opened
99% of the time is the SUBJECT LINE!

Which says, "You Have Money!"

Almost 100% CLICK ON The Link and then they start emailing me back and forth.

Try it.

Thanks,
Glenn Osborn

Hi Glenn,

Do you actually send them $1.00 through PayPal (if I understood you right)?

If so, that's interesting... It reminds me of what they sometimes call "grabbers" in direct mail - for example, a coin taped to the corner of a letter, which gets people reading.

I think it'd sure get my attention!

Could be very useful when you want to get a specific person's attention - especially if they might be "swamped" by others wanting their attention, too...

I'd love to read a further explanation...

Best wishes,

Dien

Yes - Glenn actually sends the $1 by PayPal. And adds his message to the message field that PayPal provides.

He has been using this tactic since a long time. And I've used it a few times after seeing him do it too. It works really well.

Re: Gifting monies through PayPal, Creatively contains Many different ideas, Pay-offs!

Thanks Phil for talking about Bitcoins.
I'm fascinated by its concept. And have been dabbling with it since a couple of months now.

I think it has good potential to become the "currency of the internet."
Its early days for it however - so its extremely volatile.

Getting Started With Bitcoins

1. Don't download the official Bitcoin software. Its too slow and bloated. Instead open your bitcoin wallet online with http://blockchain.info/wallet/ - make sure you activate 2 factor authentication and take a backup as security measures. (Blockchain also offers a paper backup option - so if you have bought a lot of bitcoins, you can take a paper printout and put that paper in your safety deposit box.)

2. Buying and selling bitcoins. Mtgox.com is the biggest bitcoin exchange and sets the price. Other places to check out buying and selling bitcoins: localbitcoins.com and bitinstant.com (can buy bitcoins by paying cash at a local Walmart or 7/11.)

3. Setting up bitcoins on your website so people can pay with bitcoins. Sign up with either bitpay.com or coinbase.com (USA based only as of now). Both are easy to setup. Awesome part about bitcoins is no chargebacks, no fraud, and no exorbitant credit card fees. So you will improve your bottom line by 5-6% right away. The downside about bitcoins is that it is too volatile right now. So you have to either hedge it, or convert it instantly to USD, to not be affected by it. Bitpay and coinbase both allow instant conversion to USD (Bitpay supports a few other currencies too...)

If you do start accepting Bitcoins, it would be a good idea to send out a press release to your local media outlets. They will most likely interview you - because there is a lot of buzz around bitcoins right now. It would also be a good idea to let people know at http://reddit.com/r/bitcoin - you'll get quite a few sales from there. People over there are hardcore about bitcoins.

If anyone has any questions about bitcoins, do ask - and I'll do my best to answer. Thanks.

Re: 99% Success Rate At Getting Emails Opened Using PAYPAL

Another "Subject" line that gets MY emails opened is based on my old pal "Gary Halbert" who got me started in "Remote Advertising" and Direct Mail.

One of my 1st Biz-Ops was about how to make money placing Ads on "Video Rental Cases"

Gary was a master Copy-Writer and in ONE of our many conversations he told me to .....find a local Voice Mail Service where I could rent a phone number and have a 2-minute Out-Going message! Then....in my ads....offer a FREE Recorded Message to get prospects to respond....even though they had to pay "Long-Distance" charges to connect to my Voice-Mail Recording.

This would eliminate Non-Serious inquiries! Gary told me that, in ALL my promotion efforts, in the beginning, my job was to eliminate the "Suspects from the Prospects" So...have the Headline in my ads "Grab the Greed Glands"....then....by showing a "NON-free" phone number I would get "more serious prospects"....thus eliminating some of the "suspects".

So.....fast-forwarding to 2013....I can carry this thinking on by using, "FREE Video Reveals....." to try and separate "Suspects from Prospects"!

The "Free" video's Job is then to further separate Suspects from Prospects by getting those interested in recieving more info....to fill in a "Squeeze" Form where their info is captured.

HEY! If YOU received an email with a Subject Line that says; "FREE Video Reveals...."How To.....!""...would YOU click to see what was in the Video?

Anyway.....maybe this can help someone

Don Alm.....marketing guy

I've been watching and researching Bitcoin since early 2010. The biggest issue with Bitcoin right now is the exchanges - getting currency in and out of Bitcoin is a major pain in the a** and involves a very small number of exchanges - you have a centralized exchange system for a decentralized virtual commodity.

The person who created the original Bitcoin exchange (MTGOX), Jed McCaleb (some claim he is Satoshi - the person who thought up Bitcoin), has started up Ripple to address this and other problems regarding Bitcoin. It will have the capability to do all the things Internet marketers need (like subscriptions) - it will essentially be a Paypal system where someone can make a payment in any currency, but will not be beholden to a corporation like Paypal.

I'm hoping it will take off since it's currently the one new crypto idea that makes a decentralized exchange possible.

see http://www.ripple.com

P.S. - Great idea using Paypal to get people to open emails Glenn.

Re: Thanks Ankesh - I Too Was Doing BitCoin Research

Bitcoin is open source. So a lot of people have worked on it.

It begin 5 years ago or so when someone using the pen name of Satoshi Nakamoto published a 9 page whitepaper on the bitcoin protocol on a cryptography mailing list. The start was pretty slow with only a few people interested in it initially. The 9 page white paper is pretty awesome to read too - however it is a bit technical. http://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

BitCoin Reminds Me Of A Out-Of-Control Financial Strategy

Thanks Doc,

For spending munny a former Cambodian Millionaire associate of mine
says he drove into the city in Cambodia and Rented Movies.

Set up a tent and Charged a quarter per person to show movies
on the inside tent walls.

As a Hedge against hyper-inflation - he bought a car every morning.
Sold it every evening.

BitCoin Values SeeSaw up and down so rapidly and Radically.

Best advice - seems to be to HEDGE.

A - Only put munny INTO BitCoin if you plan to spend it quickly. Same day.

B - IF you Invest munny in BitCoin longer term - make sure it's munny you
can afford to Throw away.

Re: BitCoin Reminds Me Of A Out-Of-Control Financial Strategy

Correct. Bitcoins is high risk - high returns.

Most people don't have an appetite for taking risks with investments and bitcoins is not for them. For them, I would recommend a permanent portfolio strategy. 25% gold, 25% cash, 25% equity, 25% bonds. (Gold for inflation, cash for deflation, equity for prosperity, bonds for recession. So you're covering your base for all kinds of situation and should be good as a long term investment strategy for retirement.)

I personally put aside 10% of my investment portfolio for very high risk high returns investments. My risk appetite is a bit more than most. I figure that I can do with 90% of my money what I could do with 100% of it - without missing much. And so I invest in some very new things with my risk money.

Harry Potter HIDDEN HYPNOSIS Subject Line to Get Emails Answered

Thanks Ankesh,

I'm Writing a New Advanced NLP Copywriting book, "Dead Parrot NLP Copywriting."

About 100 Pages of Case Studies and Examples - so far -
Mostly adapted Ideas - from billionaire J.K. Rowlings Harry Potter books.

What J.K. Does to ADDICT kids to her books is
WRITE TO THEIR UNconscious minds.

Here's how we apply that to get Strangers to Answer Emails...

"DOUBLE CHECKING w/Ankesh-glenn

Ok.

Seems Ordinary enough.

But this subject line gets Me a Great Many More E-MAIL Replies than before.

A couple of the Sneaky Things going on in the Subject Line Are:

I - Your UNconscious mind thinks "HA! I must know this guy. We've
exchanged emails before.

II - The UNconscious also says, "Ooops. I must have missed something
Important that was already sent."

So.

Instead of FEELING Awkward cuz this is the 1st email from a STRANGER.

The Prospect ANSWERS because obviously
we're in the middle of a conversation - ALREADY.

Try it.

Works good.

Thanks,
Glenn Osborn

P.S. - J. K. Rowling gets inside the UNconscious Emotions of her readers
in a similar way. So much so that 1000's of kids and adults are in
TREATMENT with psychologists - because of Harry Potter WITHDRAWAL
SYMPTOMS.

Thanks Midasman for the subject line tips.

I've actually found that just having the workding:

in my subject line has boosted my open rates by about 15-20%. (The word "FREE" tends to get my email caught up in some spam filters.)

Bitcoins and Private currencies...

I've been reading about this (and various other things Bitcoin-related)...

My "worry" with Bitcoin, at least in the States, is that the "gummint" tends not to like alternative currencies...

For example, you can read about the creator of "Liberty Dollars" here. He was found guilty of making "counterfeit coins" and described by some as partaking in "domestic terrorism"... (He's still waiting to be sentenced...)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernard_von_NotHaus

I'm not saying that it's right. I'm just pointing out, in general, you don't want the government as your enemy. They will always have deeper pockets than you and more power than you have.

Having said that, there are "private currencies" which are legal in the USA...

(The situation will probably also differ from country to country... Apparently bitcoins have been ruled to be legal currency in Germany...)

Best wishes,

Dien
