If you use Facebook...you need to read this

It's an article regarding Facebook's ties to the CIA and other spy types (I thought it was tongue in cheek, but with other ties etc...hmmmm). Be informed here:

I Read It, Sandi..

And, I don't believe a word of it!

Do you really think that some guy in New Zeland is the only one it the world that knows this? And, that US Networks wouldn't have a field day with it??

Kinda reminds me of the "Google Going Bankrupt" thing that's been floating around.

Even the last line of the story is suspect.. "Is it the truth?"

Pete

Oh yeah, talked with Elvis today at the grocery store!

MichaelRoss January 16, 2008 01:17 AM

You did not talk with Elvis. I have proof!!!

Peter,

Thanks for posting.

Do you think some nobody called Drudge was the only one to know about Clinton and Lewinsky? Sure Seemed that way as HE broke the story.

Maybe you're reading a different article cause the one I read ends like this...

"Is the CIA really providing the impetus and the funding behind the monster growth of this year's biggest dot com success story? Maybe only the men with the nice suits and ear pieces can answer that."

You can choose to believe it or not. But the article isn't claiming the CIA started facebook... it says in the article it is a Conspiracy Theory.

Regardless. If the Facebook Links are indeed true and not made up, it is Interesting to say the least.

Michael Ross

P.S. I know you didn't talk with Elvis today because I snapped a photo of him shaking hands with Saddam Husein. See below...

Re: If you use Facebook...you need to read this

Hi Phil,
I had a thunk along these lines a couple of weeks ago. It sort of went like this:

In the contact information area of your resume, you would leave your MySpace, FaceBook, YouTube, etc. URL.

At that site you place a great video of yourself (in a one-on-one interview type of situation) where you can have a video response to certain key question that a hiring company might like to know about you. Things like hobbies, charity or volunteer activities, personal growth reading and activities and other topics like that.

So anyways, I was thinking if I was in the resume crafting business, this could be a natural extension of that for the 20th century.

And since it would be a professional product that would really help corporate people get a new job, you could charge a great deal for each interview and make good moolah.

In fact, you could make it a niche video site. And get bought out by Goog in 4 years for 4 million-trillion-billion dollars! Yippeeee!

Tim,

Hurry up and Get Started... :)

The door is wide-open for now But it's probably going to become a Very Popular business idea...
http://www.time.com/time/magazine/ar...592860,00.html

Although many Resume Experts don't recommend including photos etc... with resumes...

Go figure that one out... Maybe it's Privacy issues but who knows...

Michael on SowPub Radio tossed out a Great idea on that first show worth Seriously considering...

Many businesses, companies and corporations are going to require Social Networking Consultants to represent them on a full time basics offering a variety of services as Social Networking continues to Grow...

Imagine Building your own Outsourcing network offering those Specializing Marketing services... ;)

Yes... Some very nice Big Bucks!

Okay Phil,
I'll pick a popular niche, say Emergency Room Nursing.

I'll contact some local hospitals and urgent care clinics HR departments and see if I can find out what kind of qualities they're looking for in new hires.

Then, I'll contact the local U (Weber State U.) and talk with their video production dept.

I'll need a nice male or female voice for the interview. I speak well, and may do this myself to start, but I'll probably look for voice over artists later.

Domain Name? UtahNurses.com?

Lemme do some phone work first to check demand. I'll post later with some results.

Re: If you use Facebook...you need to read this

Tim and others that may be interested in getting into the Video Resume business...

As with any business idea... Research it well no matter the business...

It's always Fun tossing out Quick ideas and info But a little more Googling brings up some Negatives on this one...

Some Legal issues and a few other things...

Some of the existing Video Resume businesses might have Re-Worked around the issues...

Although, with business in general they'll always be a few who just packup and move on before making a Serious effort to Make things Work... Not giving it enough time, money or whatever...

Just Don't Forget... There are Always Creative ways to turn Lemons into Lemonade... :)

Some important reading through a few of the following links and more on related Keyword phrases in Google...
