Solving the eternal problem of the missing sock...
It's a timeless problem...
You need to find socks. You need a pair of them... Yet... you only find ONE SOCK! Here's a crazy business which tries to solve the problem... They do it by selling THREE socks for the price of TWO !! So, when you lose a sock... you still have two left! Okay, it's kind of loopy... But I can see how it would attract some customers! (Plus, they'd make good "gag" gifts, too...! :) ) It's amazing what you can sometimes find out there as businesses which seem to be working...! :) Throx... Three socks, for the price of two...! http://throx.com/home.html Best wishes, Dien P.S. Their website has been around since 2003... That's 12 years... So something seems to be working for them! |
Re: Solving the eternal problem of the missing sock...
If we would all put one sock inside another when we take 'em off at night, we'd be stunned to find they wash just as well like this and then the washing machine goblin couldn't gobble 'em up - It's taken me almost 66 years to figure this one out, LOL

That's ingenious!! I'm definitely going to try it... :) My best solution so far had been to use safety pins to pin the socks together, then put the socks in one of those mesh laundry bags (so the "forces" in the washing machine don't pull the socks apart and possibly rip open the safety pin)! But... I think your solution is much better... Thanks! :) Best wishes, Dien |

The folks in NW Indiana have a slightly different issue going on. It's called the shoe corner. One corner near an intersection. Piles of shoes. I heard about in in the mid-2000s. I guess it's still there. http://www.southshorecva.com/about-s...oe-Corner/237/

Re: "Socker Lockers"
Years ago I used what we called "Socker Lockers" but as it turns out that would be a bad business name since Google thinks it can read my mind and shows me soccer related sites. (bonus marketing lesson here...lol )
Anyway, I found them... http://www.sockpro.com/ |
I only wear White socks...no problems
Me and Dave Letterman, gosh,
I saw Johnny Carson start and finish, Jay Leno start, stop, start again and finish and now Dave. Hope to be around when Jimmy Fallon retires... golly I'm old... but wearing all the same color sock makes things easier. Gordon Quote:
