Women VS Men – Buying Psychology on FACEBOOK

Friends,

I have posted here before some own observations and conclusions of mine, based on my buyers DATA running ADS on Facebook.

So, now I am observing a new one on buying Psychology on Facebook FEED ADS:

- Women (45-54 years old) buy more during the week, I am selling jewlery.

- Men ( 45-54 years old) buy more on the weekends, I am selling fashion bracelets.

This make me some conclusions.

Men are occupied during the week, and at night probably they are physically tired from the job, so they don't reply so much as women on Facebook FEED ADS. On the weekends, men are relaxing, and so there they are more able to reply to the Facebook FEED ADS.

On the another hand, women reply more during the week. At weekends their attention maybe is focused on other responsibilities.

This is only my own observations, of course this is based on the product I am selling, the media and advertising I use. :)

Hi Mike,

Interesting observations!

I'm sure there probably are differences between men and women in terms of when they buy...

I don't have any "hard data"...

I can observe, though, when my wife became pregnant, and subsequently became a mother, her "routine" was definitely different!

In her case, she quit her job before she became pregnant, because she wanted to focus on her pregnancy, and on being a mother...

So that changed things. Not all women can (or want) to do that, but there would be a certain percentage of women who want to do the same. (Or if they don't quit completely, who might change to part-time work.)

If a mother is breastfeeding, that affects her routine a lot too.

On the other hand, we have a friend who gave birth (some years ago), and went pretty much straight back to work (by choice). However, she was unable to breastfeed, so their children were bottle-fed. That makes things more equal between the mother and father, as both can equally bottle-feed, whereas they can't both equally breast-feed! In their case, the mother and father shared the job of bottle-feeding their kids more-or-less equally.

Just some further thoughts... :)

Best wishes,

Dien
