Well, still fleshing out My University's name, suffice to say, it will be all about my actual life experiences and based in reality. What I and the people I've worked with have DONE.

WHAT have YOU done? Your answer contains information, experience, skills and knowledge other people are ready and willing to pay for.

I always loved Jim Straw's BUSINESS LYCEUM, School of Practical Arts and Sciences of Making Money.

Online learning is huge. But with the current crisis, many people are wondering if their studies are going to pan out, will they find good jobs?

And PROBABLY NOT is today's answer, which is why droves are looking to online ways to make money, to start a business, to seek shelter from the storm.

I know MANY of you SowPubbers, and some I've yelled and cajoled for years, to SHARE WHAT YOU KNOW.

See, there is value in your experience.

useful
and formatted...then the sky is the limit.

Think of a University, their classes, are like short term MEMBERSHIP programs, they have their students pay by the semester...in advance of course, and then serve up the classes.

A 'typical' online monthly membership is 99 bux, and some guys have them pay for a YEAR in advance.

Imagine having only 100 students paying you that 99 a month? That is the recurring income. And with today's tech, there is no limit to the number you can have in

Not a breakthrough? Nothing new here? FAIR ENOUGH, carry on and continue to do what you are doing.

But this Covid-19 crisis has shaken the world. After just a few months, it has caused a ripple of negative waves which could last for years to come.

What worked yesterday, like traditional colleges and higher education, are changing.

Sure, you doctors, lawyers, and those needing advanced specialized knowledge, PLEASE, continue your studies.

But for 80% of the rest of us, we need the ways and means to support ourselves and loved ones, and the traditional way may be gone forever.

It isn't rocket surgery...TEACH other people what you KNOW.

That is my latest and greatest program. You don't even need me, and if you have a white board, you don't even need to spend the 15 bux.

Teaching what you know and have experienced makes a whole lotta sense.

Seems to me it's like info-marketing, but with the personal interaction that so many courses lack added in to make it REAL.

Since I've been in the Biz-Op field for nearly 40 years, and most of my stuff is related to making money, as a side hustle, or moonlighting as we used to call it, that is about as evergreen bread and butter as it gets.

But, let me take you back to 1970, and what others have done, their BREAD AND BUTTER. In one of the SCI's NPGS UPDATE HOTLINE Newsletters, I did a research study of 20 years of Biz Op, from 1976 to 1996.

So here are a few Evergreen PARADE OF LIFE topics people have spent money LEARNING for over half a century.

Gardening. I've talked a lot here about Lyman P. Wood, the man behind the marketing of the Troy-Bilt Rototiller and the company GARDEN WAY.

At their peak, they sold millions of dollars of HOW TO booklets on Gardening.

Today, the hot gardening topic is micro greens and aqua farming.

Along with gardening, comes after the harvest, canning, preserving, storing, and preparing then eating. For vegetable gardens and orchards. The BALL jar, now a staple in bars and taverns, has been around since 1880 and the NEWELL brands

Today, Thursday Mar. 7, 2020, while walking around the neighborhood I saw a group of boys under the hood of a CAR. It was an older HONDA I think. But the need to keep your auto running isn't going away any time soon...but one for sure thing, many small auto repair shops are going to need some

on how to bring in more work, if they have been shuttered or slowed during this crisis. Marketing, getting clients, customers and consumers will always be an evergreen CLASSROOM.

I hate losing a message, which I did this morning after typing for 20 mins, then poof it was gone.

So, to prevent that, if I know I have a long post, I'll break it up, save it, then edit it.

But I often end up screwing that up too. Anyhow,

Gardening, Auto, Home Repair, Food, Learning all have been staple MARKETS with many niches...also, HOBBIES.

I lived off of GOLF for a couple of decades. I still have friends who TEACH it, along with TENNIS, SOCCER, BASEBALL, and all sports have "teachers and coaches".

Now how can I teach a golf class on MY WALL?

Don't I need to be at a range or course? NO. I taught my THINK AND REACH PAR class in the middle of winter in a racquetball court. Made some decent money, then recorded it, made cassettes, then CD/DVD.

But these are just a few of the many EVERGREEN topics which have been BREAD AND BUTTER topics for years.

I am teaching my YOU (YOUR OWN UNIVERSITY) students to start with

an ASSESSMENT of their own life skills, and almost all have discovered something they have long forgotten about they did a long time ago...for example one guy remembered his venture into growing snails in his basement...which reminds me a guy who locally, once tried the ol mink breeding scam.

A course on AVOIDING IM scams and make a buck hustles which are less than legit may get my attention.

Gordon, by the way, if you had to sell dollhouses toys on the Internet what approach you recommend?

I tried Facebook paid advertising but didn't work so much.
I had some success on sharing on buying and selling Facebook free groups.

Not much success on a Classified website.

Hot video...little girl singing, "what's inside your butthole"...hundreds of thousands of views.

IF I were selling dollhouse toys, I would be 80% (probably) on social media.

Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Etsy, and others...build a LOOP around short little videos, which can be hosted so many places...

but, showing cute kids with a kitty nearby, playing with the dollhouse, or opening up a new TOY, one that you sell...and maybe having a lot of those, would be one way to go

I would also create an appeal to the parents, and sell a continuity program, toy of the month thing.

All loops tie back to a central web site, where they can BUY. But I'd need more info before I could offer any real advice, this just general, what I would consider doing. Fair enough?

This makes sense and I alreay had read somewhere, that "you just need to know more that some people to write a profitable how to book".

This made me the ideia to interview experts and write a how to book. I will read again 7 Steps II book on info products.

Do you did that Gordon? Ask experts questions and then make a book ? I think Frank Kern made that with a parrot book. He hired some expert.

Not a book, but several reports.
 

Two reports used interviews, the first was that SCI Newsletter I mentioned, it was called 20 YEARS OF BIZ-OPS, THE WINNERS, THE LOSERS, THE FLUKES

When I called, I told them, "My boss, Ben Suarez, asked me interview successful mail order people and your name came up, can I talk to you about this project?" That opened a lot of doors, allowed me lay the groundwork for the questions and get the information, which about only 10% was used, we had a bigger project on the board for these experts...but never got around to it.

The second, mostly first hand experience from working with some folk, but my NECTAR REPORT had my "keepers and take aways" from them, along with any answers they did IF I did a follow up interview. Only Melvin Powers was in both of these treasures.

But it is tested and proven strategy to create a very fast product which people will buy.

BAM/VOILA, ALMOST instant product. It is what Mike Senoff has been doing for the last two decades, I've read many of his interviews. Fortunately for me, he does a PDF along, cause I can't do audio, and very little video, unless I can fast forward it.

Mike specializes in business interviews, but there are tons of other people with their share of STORED VALUE, just ready and willing to get it into CIRCULATION, and with your help, they can and you both win, eh?

I agree. But then, where did YOU come up with that. I claim, and stand by it, that a 15 dollar investment, can create a $1,000.00 a month recurring income, most likely via some sort of a short term, or long term subscription/membership site.

I also think it is unrealistic to spend two dollars on a lottery ticket and win a million dollars...but the facts are, it happens quite often. I also think it unrealistic to develop a game app and make tons of money doing that, unrealistic but seems like it is being done, according to your sig file.

You are welcome to participate, but get your facts straight before you do, fair enough?

I love what you do... and thanks for sharing it!

You are one of the most fascinating business people online, I think...

You do things differently. Very unique...

One thing I may go into is trying to create viral content... I haven't tried it till now.

To do that, though, I realize it's a good idea to have a blog...

I've experimented with blogs before. I may start doing one seriously...

Medium might be a good way to do it. Still figuring it out...

Why do people share content? That is the question...

It's different from copywriting. A great copywriter could be really lousy at creating "viral" content...

If one could master the "art" of viral content... Wow.

I'm starting to think there's a "trio" of good skills to have...

• Copywriting/sales - which is writing that makes SALES

• Editorial content - writing things that people LOVE TO READ

• Viral content - creating writing and images that people LOVE TO SHARE

A good blog funnel, would have all three. Editorial content that is viral, if you love to read it, you will probably share it...And if I visit a blog, like the daily posts, the occasional meme or pic, then I will consider buying from that blogger.

If your Brother wrote a report on HOW TO RESEARCH TECH TRENDS, I would buy it because I LIKE his newsletter.
