While At A Truck Stop - I Saw This
 

I stopped at a truck stop last week to get a bite to eat, and as I was going to the counter - I saw a tab "thingy" on the wall.

I think it's called "Take-A-Tab" - but not sure.

Anyway, the only thing I've ever seen them used for is when you have people that are waiting for service - and they take a number from the thing.

I was surprised that it had NEVER occurred to me that it could be used for anything else.

They are using it to allow someone to "take a tab" if they are interested in a driving job.

Anyway, just thought I'd throw it out and see if anyone might have any ideas.

I thought about some sort of coupon in a hotel lobby for a pizza - or whatever.

Maybe it's nothing - but I found it interesting.

Wow, that certainly is an elaborate setup, I though you
were talking about someone taping flyers with tabs to the
wall. This goes a bit beyond that!

Thanks for sharing that... It seems like a pretty good promotional idea!

I think some people might take and keep the tab, even just out of curiosity... But you never know, that could lead to it being more effective overall. They could later fish it out of their pockets, and at that moment realize that they need the service being promoted...!

This is a great idea, John, but I can't find anywhere online to have the rolls custom printed. Seems like something that would be a "novelty pull," giving an advertiser a gold opportunity to get the offer in front of eyes.

A long time ago, I used to "know" Dennis Bevers (met him on the late Lesley Fountain's Friendsinbusiness forum), who's a distributor for a marketing printing type company - so I did a search and pulled up his details for you -
