I'm listening to the Audible version of "Moonshots" by Naveen Jain. Sean Mize recommended it awhile ago. Anyway, the author says something interesting in the book. He says that quantum physics has recently shown that waves (not sure what he's referring to here) can actually move backwards in time until the effect precedes the cause. Not sure I worded it exactly right but I'm sure you get the idea.

Mind blown!

Why the universe might have only one electron...

Hi Rick,

Awesome...!

There's so much mind-blowing stuff in quantum physics... It's a reason why I loved (and still love) it...

Recently, I thought... I think my two loves are quantum physics and also great direct response copy (which is also immensely interesting when done well)!

Here's another crazy idea from quantum physics...

A positron is the "anti-particle" of the electron...

And as far as the physics equations go, a positron is basically the same as an electron going backwards in time!

That gives rise to the idea that maybe there is just one electron in the universe... You have one electron going forward in time, then at some point, it goes backwards in time (as a positron), which at some point in the past goes forward in time again (as the universe's 2nd electron), which becomes another positron going backwards in time (as the universe's 2nd positron), and so on... Until you get all the electrons and positrons in the universe...

This is known as the one electron universe theory - by John Wheeler and Richard Feynman.

There's so much crazy stuff in quantum physics... I keep thinking in the back of my mind that maybe one day I'll write a book about some of it (but there are already some good books out there)... :)

Thanks Rick!

Best wishes!

Dien

Mind blown again!

Definitely over my head. I agree. I also appreciate good direct response copy.

It doesn't matter to me if Claude Hopkins wrote it in the early 20th century or Frank Kern wrote it last week for his website.

Rick
