The Sowpub Radio Broadcast Is Available For Listen/Download

If you missed the Broadcast you can listen to it by going here http://www.michaelrossonline.com/sowpubradio.html and pressing the Play button. The broadcast is a tad short of three hours.

If you'd rather download it for later listening, then go here http://www.nowlive.com/sowpubradio and scroll down to "Previous Broadcasts" and choose the MP3 podcast or text.

Subsequent broadcasts are already being planned. Aimed to be Shorter, though. :)

What a good radio show would be for me is...

Thanks Michael for getting the ball rolling.

These are just my opinions, others are free to chime in with theirs.

I'd prefer about a 90 minute or so broadcast (preferably an hour earlier for us Eastern Standard types)...

And a topic, with perhaps a brief intro...and get right into the Q and A.

Typing isn't going to work, but once the calls start coming in, and the web cams are operable, then the radio show can really take off.

It was a good kick off, to see what problems there were etc.

I like the upload part...where you had that graph...I can see some potential there for "educational" templates, like the SQ1...

A camtasia presentation of how to use the software might help a little. I'll look forward to seeing how this radio show evolves. Thanks again for your time and effort Michael, it is appreciated.

Thanks for your feedback and...

Gordon,

Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate it, and your attendance.

There were a LOT of topics covered. Possibly too many. But they were there because it wasn't known beforehand how long it would take to go through them. And a Single Topic show would probably be best - which would reduce the length of the show.

Typing works as a means to Ask questions but not to answer them in any great depth. That requires the phone. Either a landline or using Google Talk http://www.google.com/talk/ or Gizmo http://www.gizmoproject.com/ (I've used both to call in and host shows so they both work - I prefer GoogleTalk. As a host, people using Google or Gizmo is preferred as their Nickname comes up. But landline calls work just as well.)

Regarding the cams, as I mentioned during the show it sometimes happens. And about 15 -30 minutes after the show ended the cams came good. And the upload came good for those in the room as well.

When you mention a presentation on Using the software, are you talking about the Show's software or the Phone In Software?

We are putting together another show. And would ask you - and other forum users - what Topic or Topics would you like the show to be about or cover?

Re: The Sowpub Radio Broadcast Is Available For Listen/Download

I thought it was pretty good. A little long but only because I work early. I was interested enough to stick around but sleep did win out. I did catch most of it. I think it must be pretty hard to set a time when the Internet takes you around the globe for viewers. I ran into a site today that I thought matched this topic and thought I would post a link. I can think of a few real good uses.

And I am not the only one who thought it was interesting.

Scott,

Thanks for joining us on the show.

It turned out a little long - but - time sped away from my end and we did cover a LOT of stuff.

I've got a UStream embeded on my Yuwie page http://www.yuwie.com/michaelross but haven't had a lot of playing around with it. Just a bit. And you can also have text chat with it. But am not sure of callers or uploading media and so on. But for a Visual Broadcast it seems ideal.

Here's the show I'll skip my sleep for Michael...the down and dirty, lowdown on

really cool Australian vacations.

You and Dien could share with us the insider's view of some great Australian places to visit. I'm planning a trip for next year, so that would be great for me.

HEY, tie it in with a local travel agent, who will cut us some deals (he..he) and I'll stay up all night to listen to that.

Tell us where to find the really "cool" Oz stuff...the off the beaten path stuff.

Gordon

PS. I'm going to shoot for 3 weeks in Oz and at least a week in NZ.
