Scoopified. Did you get your copy this week?

The weird, unusual little catalog hit my mailbox this week. I've talked about it here before, and how most of their offers are Print On Demand hotsheets, which tell you where to get the information. HA!

You pay to get the source of what they have. What a racket.

Anyhow, I'm a WWII buff (somewhat) and especially about the Pacific. My father was in the Army, stationed at Hawaii, before they were deployed.

On page 31 and 32 of this issue of SCOOPIFIED, is a story about the Battle of Samar. When I was stationed in the P.I., at Subic Bay, I had the chance to visit several places and different islands where these battles were fought.

So, the article in Scoopified caught my attention. In the movie JAWS, we find out that QUINT, played by the brilliant Robert Shaw, had served aboard the USS INDIANAPOLIS, and he spent several days in the water, having many of his shipmates devoured by sharks.

In the article in Scoopified, written by survivor Richard K. Redhe, who was on board the USS SAMUEL B. ROBERTS, which was sunk during the battle...also spent several days in the water, having many of his shipmates also killed by sharks.

The Navy battles in the Pacific were fierce, and filled with casulaties.

As we observe this July 4th, and our FREEDOM, let us remember the cost of our freedom is not free and many a person has paid the price to allow us what we have.

PS On another note, I got several ideas for reports, hotsheets, folios and inforgraphics from this issue of Scoopified. Also, the new Shore to Shore Mail Order Publication came out, and it also has given me some ideas.

I think I have beaten PRINT ON DEMAND to glue by now, but the offline opportunities are better than ever, with so many people staying home.
