I still buy stuff via mail, but lately, I may quit.

I've got a dumb postal worker now, he can't read the address...if it was a one time thing, that would be one thing, but for two weeks, I've had to walk mail down the street and deliver it to the right address.

I am taking some stealth steps. Anyhow, I know for a fact that people have mailed me stuff, like a daughter sending Valentine card, a week before and still it hasn't arrived.

And then there are the things I still buy from catalogs and direct mail pieces too.

Let me tell you this, FULFILLMENT should be job one.

With Amazon et al giving one, two and very fast deliveries, any mail order company a person who doesn't respond quickly, is NOT GOING to be around for much longer.

Now, I did a postcard from one company, acknowledging receipt of payment, and some email of the same.

But when I send money via the mail, mostly Money Orders cause they are so easy to trace...and don't get any response, there is action.

And on those rare occasions I send cash (and I still do), I have come to accept that might be money tossed into the wind.

I have told about ordering some "booklets", which did arrive, and they came without follow up...I am convinced, that the small one man shop, with the exception of scams, or money pyramids schemes, all of those matrix things...the legit home based mail order business, may have died and I didn't get the obit notice.

It would be a sad state of affairs...

Hi Gordon,

On stuff sent by "real mail"...

There are still paper and ink newsletters (which is great)! I've mentioned Doberman Dan's before... I'm not a subscriber, but once bought a whole bunch of back issues - the printed kind - directly from him... I have them in a box, and still rummage through them now and then...

Another I haven't mentioned before is Scott Scheper, who also puts out a print newsletter. (I don't subscribe to his print newsletter, but I'm on his email list.) He's clearly inspired by Gary Halbert in many ways (including using the same font Gary used, and the same yellow background - he admits that's what he's doing, as an homage!)...

Scott is a marketer but also is a fan of the "zettelkasten" knowledge organization system. I came across him first when looking for stuff related to Gary Halbert, then again when reading about the "zettelkasten" system... Anyway, here's his website... https://scottscheper.com/letters/

It would be a real shame if mail order by the "little guy or gal" is dead...

Best wishes,

Dien

How to BRIBE USPS, UPS, FedX, Amazon Drivers

Thanks Gordon,

At Random times I put a 3 by 5 THANK YOU and a Lotto Ticket in my Mail Box.
This makes a HUGE Difference.

(EDITORS NOTE - Of Course, I am Also Testing a Version of B.F. Skinners RAT REWARDS Discovery - used in VEGAS to Create Addicted Gamblers. Unpredictable Rewards. Seem to Have an AMAZING IMPACT.)

I Recently ran across the Street to Give a LOTTO ticket to a UPS driver
who was Delivering a package to my neighbor.

He was SHOCKED.

If I am Home and hear the Truck Engine - I jog over to the Truck.

Grab the Package so the Driver Does Not Have to Exit his Vehicle.

I seem to be THE ONLY ONE
Who does This. Because Delivery Truck Drivers JUMP 2 Feet in the air
When I show up at their Door.

QUITE FUN.

I Say, "Here is a Lotto Ticket for Your Hard Work. Just had a Waitress Win TEN BUCKS. So we are on a roll. Hope you win a BUNCH of money.

RESULTS?

All of these Folks Have a REGION or Regular Route.

NOBODY ELSE TIPS THEM.

Everybody ELSE Complains.

So my packages and mail NEVER get thrown out in the lawn. Almost always each
Package is carefully placed at my door step.

My Neighbor to the left?

Emails me and Asks, "Did You Get my package by mistake?

Across The Street.

Their Packages get Tossed out in their Drive Way. Or dropped near their mailbox
RIGHT at the Road. EZ to Steal.

NOT ME.

I Have Zero Complaints.

Fantastic Customer Service by all the Delivery people.

Thanks,
Glenn

P.S. - I Do Joke with The Amazon Drivers about the 360 degrees Camera on their Truck roof.

Wouldn't it be INTERESTING.

If Like in the amazon food Store Tests - where 100's of cameras. Meant you didn't have to CHECK Out. (Prepping for No-People-Stores)

The Video Camera were Testing AND gathering Zillions of details for
a Robot Delivery System.

Then a New Question ARISES.

HOW do I Tip a Robot?

HOW do I Tip a Robot?

Glenn April 9, 2023 01:27 AM

How to BRIBE a Robot is Actually A SERIOUS Issue

Thanks Gordon,

Based on The Robots now used in Asia.

Japan Especially.

And California.

In Retail Stores and Restaurants.

I'm Plotting Ways to ASK a Question The ROBOT cannot help with.

Which Forces the Robot to Call for a LIVE PERSON.

THE ROBOT Greeter says, "How Can I help you today?"

And I say, "I am Looking for the Banana Ketchup. Which Shelf is that on?"

HEH HEH

A Real Product from The Philippines.

I Came Across it on a cooking show on YouTube.

Ordered a bottle.

Took it with me to Restaurants.

Lots of ENTERTAINED Waiters and Waitresses SAMPLED the stuff.

Hmmm.

Good idea To STUMP a Restaurant Robot too.

Ask for some "Banana Ketchup."

Thanks,
Glenn

P.S. - The Robots are coming and New UGLY Jobs are opening up.

One Rolling Retail Robot I spotted Is hooked up to a Basement Office.

When a LIVE HUMAN is Required.

You see the FACE of this little Guy (In Place of The SMILEY FACE) - who talks to you out of the Screen.

He Serves as HUMAN to 3 or 4 Stores.

SUCKY Job.

Shouldn't that be a "byte" of bit coin? (Tee hee) :)

The psychologist's secret method to get people EXCITED

Hi Glenn,

You've got this working on multiple levels!

The instant lotto tickets themselves have "unpredictability" as to whether you'll win or not... That's probably why they work better than $1 dollar bills (which don't have unpredictability)...

Then if you make getting the instant lotto tickets unpredictable too... Wow!

What we're referring to is psychologist B.F. Skinner's experiments with pigeons... He found that when rats and pigeons were rewarded with food in an unpredictable way, they'd push or peck the button furiously to get the food... More so than when getting the food reward was predictable!

Best wishes,

Dien
