Question???
Ricky:
Since you are an e-Book master ... Where; or how, can I set up whereby I can read the e-Books on my Mac? I have been on Mac ... for typesetting (beats the PCs all hollow) and now for my Internet work ... since 1984 - but - I can only read about 1 out of 5 e-Books that I download (even when I pay for them). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Jim FREE Money Making Reports & Resources! |
Running Windows software on a Mac...

Ricky may have other helpful suggestions, but one option is to use Virtual PC (by Connectix) to run Windows-based e-books and other software on a Mac. But I hear it can be painfully slow. :-( Side point: The above is another reason to consider Adobe Acrobat for e-book formats. It's both PC- and Mac-friendly. Re: Question???
Hi Jim,
Marty got in before me and answered your question. Yes, I use Adobe Acrobat PDF for my ebook. (I hope you were able to read my ebook from the link and password I sent you) Acrobat also has these advantages; 1. Cross platform - both Mac & PC - can be viewed by any type of computer that has the free Adobe Reader installed. 2. Over 100,000,000 users world wide - Industry standard 3. PDF ebooks & documents will be able to be read on Microsoft's "ebook Reader" which will no doubt be included with future versions of Windows as standard. 4. Built in Security features - password protection 5. Convert to PDF from any word processor / desktop publishing software with ease. 6. Good compression - smaller file sizes, leading to faster downloads 7. Reliability- I've never had a customer who could not open and read my ebook in PDF. Hope this helps Ricky A Free Gift From Anthony Blake & Ricky Higgs |
Thank You ...
Marty & Ricky ...
I have no problems with PDF files ... the problems arise with other eBooks. If I even knew what program was used to create them, I could find a Mac version of the application and use it to cross platforms ... as I do with the PageMaker applications I use on Mac with the same applications on our corporate PCs. Hey Ricky ... I don't recall receiving anything about an eBook from you. Then again, I suffer from sometimer's disease ... sometimes I remember, sometimes I don't.
