online video - $100 video recorder

http://www.salesrankexpress.com/blog.html

"To get ready for that day, I’ve already purchased a Flip Video Camcorder, which Amazon has been pushing for use on customer reviews and is now selling for $100 or less. This beauty and other devices like it are going to blow the lid off online video. In ease of use and quality of output, it is nothing less than a revelation.

If you’re already handy with a conventional camcorder, forget everything you know. This thing has just four controls: a red on-off button, a play button, a delete button, and a circular direction pointer. There’s no manual, and you hardly even have to read the quick card that comes with it. Super simple.

The camcorder has a built-in USB plug, and the camcorder itself acts as an external USB drive. Its editing software is on the camcorder itself. You can run it from there, or just pull the AVI files onto your computer for editing with other software. There’s no tape, no discs, nothing but flash memory. Neat!

But what truly amazed me was that the output of a test video viewed on my computer was superior to anything I’d been able to get from my $500 Panasonic. I finally figured out the reason. The DV format that most camcorders record in is aimed at television viewing."
When you convert it for computer viewing, there’s a big hit in quality. My Flip camcorder, on the other hand, was recording right to VGA. What’s more, after exporting its video from QuickTime with DivX compression, I saw hardly any deterioration at all from the original file, whereas similar procedures had nearly ruined my previous videos. Here's one of the best for $69.95. It's called the "RCA Small Wonder" camcorder and if you put your videos on You Tube, you can bring them back to your websites in better resolution than when they went to You Tube.

Thanks Don. I'll look at that RCA.

Amazon is actually charging $150 for the Flip. The blog I read said
it was only $100. Sorry for the mistake.

cannot find the $70 camera.

Can you show me a link for the $70 camera? Thanks.

I found an RCA for $130 at this site.

The RCA has a SD slot, which is a big advantage.

The RCA Small Wonder is going into several stockings this Christmas...

1 Attachment(s)
You will see in the attachment that I have both RCA models, and both do a good job, but I'm going to be giving the 201 (the one linked to in this thread)...it has the flip around screen that lets you use it as a monitor from the front...and the 2GB SD card slot.

The 201 is currently doing duty in India, where my college kid is currently, as part of the semester around the world...and I'm told 100 other kids want one.

It fits in your shirt pocket, takes AA batteries, comes with software...now, ACE Hardware did have the 101 on sale last year for 69.00.

I suggest the 201, and side by side it looks and feels exactly like the FLIP...probably is.

And although 140 bux is a chunk of money, if it gets lost, it's not like the sting of a 300-400 digital camera...

got the RCA 201 for $108 at amazon.com

Thank you, gentlemen, for your advice.

I just ordered the RCA small wonder 201 at amazon.com for $108.

Amazon has the RCA 101 for $75. (My daughter may get this for
Christmas.) :)

There are several cheap camcorders. I was tempted to get this one for $99.

I plan to start posting my home videos on youtube. :)

The RCA Small Wonder is going into several stockings this Christmas... & Biz ideas...

Talk about an Easy Affordable startup...

The RCA Small Wonder would be a Great little tool to Market all kinds of Specialty products and YouTube Video services to Consumers & Businesses...

Here's just one Idea... It's a Free service... But... Twist the idea into a Paid & Localized concept... :)

With a Video and Hard Copy publication...

In fact Yellow Pages is slowly moving into Video, Audio and Multicultural Directories... ;)

Say goodbye to the used-car salesman
Hotswap - with about 11,000 listings - is the first used-car site where sellers post videos of their vehicles.

Watch the Video... Study the model...
