I once read a lot of Shakespeare.

I started reading the book about a week or so ago. I doubt I'll hit my goal date. Two weeks is usually plenty of time for me to read a book. Not this one. That book is some tough sledding.

(Dien, probably about as hard as quantum physics. 😊)

Friends, Romans, Countrymen...still the best sales pitch one can read.

Schwartz is my fav copy writer of all time, almost impossible to read. One thing I learned over time was...

and 7 Steps is a perfect example...

that genius can often NOT tell others how to!

Of course 7 Steps to Freedom II was written by several people and you can see and read the voice changes throughout, Shakespeare may or may not have been a compilation too, albeit...in the same voice.

I think Schwartz, if he wrote his books himself, was just too smart, and like many eggheads, can't dumb down their work for the masses.

Best bet, like Rick does, is collect their work and study it, and take a lot of their HOW THEY DID IT, with a large grain of salt.

Sort of like Golf. Watch all the Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus video you want, read all their books on how they do it, and know, for a FACT, you ain't ever getting close to what they did.

Maybe modeling works for Tony Robbins, "do what I did, get what I got" Tony, the 100 million a year man.

But in copywriting, one hit wonders can make a lot of moolah, and some were able to get into the hall of fame...but few, very few could teach others how they could be just like them.

Good news is, one doesn't have to be or do like ANYONE else, find a voice, test, test, test and TODAY...BE prepared to try different ways.

Not for everyone...indeed.

Already had a drop out. It wasn't what he WANTED. Or expected. Thanked him for buying me lunch (his 49 bux) and wished him well.

Maybe he will become a great copywriter, my money says he'll join the poor masses of copy writers who are simple and cheap commodities.

Yesterday, I was on the phone to another student, who is DOING the assignments, even if he thinks they are a bit odd or strange.

When I introduce the Square One Workshops into the learning, it throws some people off track.

The PictoGrigm of Persuasion (POP) is one of the most powerful tools a copy writer can create for himself.

In our discussion yesterday, it came up he wanted to write for a BROADER market, and not just the market he has picked.

I pointed out, when you master the POP the product is unimportant. VERY hard concept to grasp for most people, and against the tide of current copywriting gurus. I teach a PROCESS.

And the process begins, and ends, with just one thing: THE PROSPECT.

First and foremost, always and forever, if you want to get someone to buy your thing, then forget about your thing, and focus on the someone.

Simple enough. BUT, against all the formulas and how to of writing copy. uld
So, I am very clear about what I will do, or won't and don't offer any refunds, cause I'm going to eat their fee and it will be gone forever, but I do allow them to quit if they want,

which is why I try to sort out and select the right people BEFORE I take their money. Alas, like interviewing people for a job and they tell you they have experience and have expertise with MS Office, only to find out they don't know how to use Spreadsheets.

He was hungry. Ready. Would follow directions and turn in assignments on time...until he didn't.

As stated, my teaching style is NOT for everyone.

I need to find my HIT THE BALL post, would rather copy and paste than waste time rewriting it.

Does that mean there's an opening?

Even if I don't qualify, would love to get the course.

The "course" is customized, personalized for each person, therefore, if you don't qualify, there is nothing I can give you. email me and we'll discuss it.
