I'm not sure what you would think of this... But I just read this article...

It's about a man who, due to the details of a Texas law (called "adverse possession"), it appears is in the process of getting a $330,000 house - for just $16 and some paperwork...

Admittedly, he does have to "camp" there for 3 years... with no electricity or running water!

The house was in foreclosure for about a year, then the mortgage company went out of business too...

That sounds like an invitation for us to cross the pond and move into a luxury home somewhere .... but how to identify the houses previously mortgaged by that company?? Hotsheet moment coming up, I think.
