How to set up a business that translates any language
This is an interesting business I came across...
Many people will translate a language or two. But this business will translate ANY language! He started out doing his own translations... But then branched out, by outsourcing to other translators. He even once got a request to translate from ancient Ottoman Turkish! He could only find one person in the world who knew the ancient Ottoman Turkish language - but, he got the job done! Because of the outsourcing, this is actually a business anyone could set up... You don't even need to be able to speak a second language yourself... Spanish translations? Decipher ancient Ottoman? Tampa’s Sean Hopwood will translate anything https://www.tampabay.com/opinion/col...hing-20190118/ Best wishes! Dien |

What do they do then? Hire freelancers? That's a neat idea.

I imagine he has a bunch of translators "on his books"... If he can promise them regular work, he can probably negotiate a "wholesale rate" for their services... (More profit for him!) At least, that's how I would approach it! :) They'd be contractors (not employees). Of course, the translators could live anywhere in the world... Best wishes, Dien |
