And Sleeponomics 101. :)

Some call it the sleep economy - a burgeoning $20 billion business of aromatherapy pillows, high-tech beds, face masks, biorhythmic alarm clocks, and, yes, naps. The market is growing because, frankly, we're exhausted and sleeping less each year.

We're sleeping less each year - and that's creating a big opportunity to sell everything from naps to high-tech beds...

There's gold in them thar zzzz's.

One reason that folks have so much trouble sleeping is the noise factor in today's society so anything that blocks the noise out, and the flashing lights from everything within and without the bedroom, would be a likely hit.

We might also address the problem from a 'maximum rest for minimum time' approach and consider things like hypnosis inducement, relaxation tapes, classes to teach self-hypnosis, and a whole host of related applications including biofeedback ect.

All the current sleeping trends as far as mattresses ect all follow the same tired old process with a slight twist. How about re-thinking what would be the best accommodation to the body to induce maximum comfort and rest. I don't know many folks with a straight up and down body on all sides, do you? Current bedding is a bad joke.

Along the same line, how about coverings? Some of the newer fabrics that automatically adjust to the body's temperature as far as holding heat in or letting it dissipate, might make sleeping body suits a comfortable and feasible option instead of ill-fitting, unconforming to our needs, blankets.

Just some ideas to get things moving along.
