True? False? Or not at all important?

I believe the best way to cross your bridge to success (whatever it means to you) is accomplished via OTHER PEOPLE.

The bridge will probably be made of PEOPLE. Maybe winning the lottery, but other than that, few exceptions to getting across the bridge without the involvement of other people.

IF you regard that as TRUE...then what are doing to strengthen your skills with people? Including learning influence and persuasion strategies, techniques or methods and breaking other people's PREOCCUPATIONS.

IF you think that is false, that you don't need anyone else to get you across the bridge, then what are you doing to help yourself?

I might argue that your skills with other people is probably the biggest factor in getting to where you want to go, but you may have a different opinion.

Opine if you want.

While self-development may have its place, I think considering OTHER PEOPLE is a much better motivator.

As the first great mind quoted in The CREED suggests, success is intrinsically linked with OTHER PEOPLE.

Another way I look at is by considering the essential definition of money: a medium of EXCHANGE.

An exchange involves at least 2 distinct parties. That's why financial success invariably involve OTHER PEOPLE.

Not only financial success, because as the second great mind in The CREED notes, SHARING deepens the experience of the success we seek.

And to share, you need at least 2 distinct parties

OTHER PEOPLE are baked into the success equation!

Thank you

Mel Brooks Told Gene Wilder, "I'm Writing A Movie for You."

Thanks Gordon,

An Example of "Crossing the Bridge VIA Other People" might be...

Gene took a look at the script and spotted the Song, "Springtime for Hitler"

And said, "You'll Never get the munny."

Mel Came Back a few months later with the finished script and tossed
it on Gene's lap and said
I got The Money - when can you start work?

And
Gene
Broke down and CRIED.

Then
asked Mel a Question...

"Will you help me write the Script for this idea I have called, "Young Frankenstein?"

"Young Frankenstein" made 86 M*illion D*ollars.

How to get more business ideas than you know what to do with...

"How could this happen? I was so careful. I picked the wrong play, the wrong director, the wrong cast. Where did I go right?" - The Producers

Thanks Glenn,

Great example and great post!

First, I had no idea Gene Wilder even wrote scripts... But wow, I checked it out, and you're right - "Young Frankenstein" was Gene Wilder's first movie script! (Co-written with Mel Brooks!)

It's in the interaction with others that we often get ideas...

You can get great business opportunity ideas talking to others too. What's the key?

I believe it's to... surround yourself with entrepreneurial types!

That is, those people who are actually doing it!

If you do that, you'll get more ideas than you know what to do with!

(Plus - if you're really into entrepreneurship - it's a heck of a lot of fun... :) )

Best wishes,

Dien
