What was Eugene Schwartz Breakthrough Advertising book gold?
Considering myself a quite newbie on copywriting, I have Eugene Schwartz Breakthrough Advertising book.
I have it because Gary Halbert recommended the book as one of the few only books needed on copywriting (https://www.thegaryhalbertletter.com...first_step.htm) Help me try to understand what gold have this book. For my own understanding the stages of sophistication is a genius observation. But beside it I see mostly only other advanced tips. I was thinking in getting some advanced courses on copywriting, but I thought it would be a better idea to explore before this advanced book (and save $$$). How do you define Breakthrough Advertising? Simply one of the most advanced copywriting books? Help me contextualize this book please. Thank you. |

Like you, I think Eugene Schwartz's multiple stages of sophistication is brilliant! By the way, this is built upon further in the book "Great Leads" by Michael Masterson and John Forde... (Which I also think is worth reading...) In addition, for one of the stages, Schwartz says you need to focus on a "new mechanism" to cut through the crowd... Some have only "caught on" to this... 55 years or so after Schwartz wrote about it! It's also quite a brilliant idea (in my view)... :) Best wishes, Dien |
