Family Friendly - Lessons From Dad or Mom
We should share valuable lessons we have learned from our parents. I'll start...
"Lean over your plate so you can wear your shirt tomorrow." It has served me well, but mostly now I use a bib...as Gordon can attest. :p |

Hmm... you could send those starving kids my brussel sprouts... Honestly, I wouldn't mind... Thwack! (I'm sure many other kids have similar thoughts today! Of course, when I was a kid, parents didn't have the idea of hiding vegetables in brownies and cookies, like they do today...) |

My Dad always would say...after I did something silly or impulsive that ended badly...
"Use your head CLOONZ! THINK!" Served me well. Quote:

Re: Family Friendly - Lessons From Dad or Mom
Whenever I wanted something my mom would say:
"How's it feel to want?" "If you want it so bad, GET A JOB!" I took that advice one step further and twisted it. I hired myself. That job thingy never panned out or paid well. Thanks Mom  |

Mommy taught me, when putting on my tighty whitees, "Son, yellow to the front, brown to the back." |
Re: Family Friendly - Lessons From Dad or Mom
An important lesson I learned early from Mom:
A glass of vodka looks EXACTLY like a glass of water. |
Re: Family Friendly - Lessons From Dad or Mom
"A glass regular milk, will make you soft as silk" ...........
:D And I keep on believing this my whole life. Hahahahahaha :p |

Melinda,
I was about 12 ... and not all that sharp. It took me many more years to realize that she drank a LOT of water. Richard |
