How much could I sell these for?...

Hey, I'm "trapped" on a tropical island with nothing to do, so I came up with this (along the lines of the guy who will wear your t-shirt)...

http://youtu.be/WDKrMbCgICw

Note: The last (self-promotion) bit at the end of the video would NOT be part of what the customer buys (obviously) -- but I MIGHT offer 2 different prices. One if they will take the vid with a "Powered by DesertedIslandGuy.com" watermark on it, and another (higher) price if they want the vid without the watermark.

Anyhow, I'm curious to see what you guys think the market will bear, price-wise.

Cheers.

PS: Also, like the "I will wear your t-shirt" guy, the deserted island guy BIZ MODEL is newsworthy, just by itself. To do this "job," I MUST live in a tropical paradise. I MUST go to the beach each day. I MUST not shave or comb my hair or wear a tie.

Ultra-simple, two-part biz model... 1) I go to the beach every day. 2) You pay my mortgage. [blah, blah, blah -- you can see the "angle," yes?]

Hi TW,

First, I enjoyed your video!

There certainly could be possibilities here for you...

Note that the "I wear your shirt" guy's business is based fully on publicity - both in social media (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, blog, etc.) and traditional media (articles in newspapers, magazines, etc.)...

He also uses a smart "scarcity-based" pricing model... When he started in 2009, wearing your T-shirt on Jan. 1 cost $1, on Jan. 2 it cost $2, all the way up to it costing $365 on Dec. 31.

This is smart. Why?

$1 for free publicity on January 1? It's a bargain!!!

Oh, Jan. 1 is not available? Well, $2 for January 2 is still a bargain!!

Oh... not available...

Umm...

You can see how the thought process works. You'd better get August 2 spot for the bargain price of $214, before that day also disappears!

Also, when he started, only one business could buy a T-shirt for a particular day. Now, as he's gotten more established, he (and his team) are wearing multiple T-shirts for particular days. His initial plan was smart, as it strongly uses "scarcity."

(Read Robert Cialdini's book "Influence" regarding "scarcity" if you haven't done so.)

It's the same idea which was used by Alex Tew's "Million Dollar Home Page."

And if nothing else, TW... who knows, Hollywood may come knocking at your door!

Best wishes,

Dien
