Any cheaper alternatives to Hoover?...

Hoover is an info service that tells you list of execs' contact info for large companies, etc.

But... they charge $75/mo.

Are there any other services that charge less?

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi TW,

Thanks for asking about CEO info.

Here is a free list broker software and database.

www.Manta.com .

The drawback to these leads is you have to
obtain them manually, which can really cut back on the number of calls you can make inside an hour. But, to get started on a tight budget, it could be well worth it until you make your first few sales.

I don't know what your selling but in some niches, don’t always shoot for the president. Sometimes, someone lower on the food chain (such as a middle manager) often will have more time to listen to voicemail and may even pick up his/her own phone!

Also D&B has a free 7 day trial. Maybe you could plan to download
as many leads as you need in that 7 days.

Another one that was pretty cheap was goleads.com. I say was because
I have heard they raised their rates. Just checked their rates and they are $80 per month. Used to be free but you had to obtain them manually.

Anyway hope this helped.

Best of Success,
Skip Rosell

Re: Any cheaper alternatives to Hoover?...

That is an excellent resource.
Thanks much!

As to making it faster, there are programs that will automate grabbing data
from this site or others.
Mostly called "scrapers". You set up the steps to do a search and it is recorded and it can output to a CSV file for viewing.

All these programs have fairly steep learning curves.
AND they can be expensive.

You might try hiring someone at Fiverr.com to build a "bot" which is another term for the scrapers.Or have them scrape a list for you. Fiverr is a site where you can get work done for $5. Everything is $5!

a few names of software are "iMacros","WinAutomation", and "UBot".
For ease of use and to get going the fastest, I would suggest "UBot Studio".
It is available in 3 versions from $245 up to $695 depending upon the functions you need.

Once you build a bot you can compile it into an executable and sell that to recover your spend.
BTW Google <UBot coupon> and you'll likely find $50 discount codes for it.

WinAutomation is $285. Great also but, UBot is easier to use.
iMacros is $499 and you'd need to now some scripting languages in order to get the full benefit from it.
