Pandemic blues? "Virtual nature" could cure it...
I just read about this UK study, where they took 96 participants...
And tried to bore them with a video of someone describing their work at an office supply company. After that, they showed them scenes of an underwater coral reef... They found that the nature scenes reduced sadness in each participant... If you're feeling down... It could be something to try! I spent yesterday watching nature videos in the background while I worked, like this one, and enjoyed it... :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMAzchVWTis Here's an article about the study... Watching nature shows on TV can cure boredom, sadness https://www.studyfinds.org/watching-...redom-sadness/ Best wishes! Dien P.S. Depression, though, is a serious business... so this is probably not a "cure" for serious depression, and if that's a problem for you or someone you know, it may be wise to seek professional counseling... |
