There's a new type of sport in town!

You probably know of physical sports... that's your traditional football, baseball, soccer, hockey, and so on...

And you probably have heard of the much newer "digital sports" or "esports"... These are tournaments where people compete in digital, computer games! Some are League of Legends, Fortnite, Overwatch, and so on...

But perhaps you haven't heard of...

Phygital sports?

These combine physical sports with digital sports...

An example is phygital hockey... Where they first play a hockey simulation, then the next step, they compete against each other physically on the ice...!

The first "Phygital tournament games of the future" were just held earlier this month...

I don't know if it will take off. Stranger things have happened!
