FOR EXAMPLE -

All of the Grocery stores I shop at IN MARYLAND have installed
Black Machines at check out.

NONE are using them.

The SELF CHECK out is still in use but ONLY
with close Monitoring by an Employee.

TO PREVENT THEFT.

ME?

I have noticed that 100% of the Time when I use SELF CHECK OUT
The Computer price is HIGHER than The Shelf Price on many items.

CANNOT BE AN ACCIDENT.

When There is No HUMAN to Fix the Problem
YOU ARE SCREWED.

So I always go thru and Talk to People manned Cash Register.

What AI is going to do is phase out that low tier employee or freelancer doing mediocre tasks. There is a reason Fiverr's stock is down 92% from its all time high.

So sad to hear about Fiverr. I agree with you, but...
 

Fiverr used to be great back in 2013 when I started using it. Now I rarely even visit there

Recently discovered most of the people I patronized before no longer have active gigs there.

Yes, menial, repetitive work is going to be phased out by efficient bots.

Have you watched this Gary Vee video where he illustrates how a journalist's role in writing would change with AI?

There's this sound bite that "You won't be replaced by AI. You'll be replaced by someone who uses AI"

Beyond the hype, even the work we do itself is going to be redefined.

An example I like to use is the typewriter.

I remember the joy of typing on my mum's Pica typewriter as a kid. Back then, there were people whose job role was "typist"

I've lived long enough to see how that role was phased out with the introduction of the PC. (Don't know if any serious company still employs typists)

AI is just a tool. The quality of output generated by LLMs like ChatGPT and so on depends on the quality of the prompt fed into it to start with.

And it takes a human who actually THINKS clearly to know the right input to feed AI.
