You mentioned community... I recently found this board which I like because of the thoughtful posts and I look forward to being a part of this community. But also, Gordon I noticed that you're in Akron which is my old stomping grounds... I graduated from Kent State nearly 3 decades ago and recently returned to the US and am about 100 miles from you.

I'm responding to your post because in my business career I actually started two small schools that offered quick, affordable how-to courses.

Let me know if you want to bounce around any ideas about your courses... when you're feeling up to it again.

I have started over again here in the US with virtually nothing and I've relaunched two businesses I put aside some years ago: a speaker agency and a promotion consultancy for experts. They're already developed, otherwise I'd find it overwhelming to start from scratch agaim.

I'm optimistic about the meeting + conference industry despite some pessimism out there, and I had clients in 8 countries long before the Internet offered such fast communication.

Tell me more, I'm very interested! And why invent the wheel if your neighbor has already done it?
