Re: The last SECRET to success...get it and get going!

Many people are looking for the big adjustments and miss the little ones that turn in to big ones later on. > students "practice makes perfect". > I've never said that nor will I. I don't say that either. It's a false statement that many people take to be true. What's the frequently cited definition of insanity? "Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result". Now I'm not sure that's the clinical definition but I've heard that tossed out by the likes of Tony Robbins. I agree with the thinking. Rather I've tended to use this statement: "Perfect practice makes perfect" That allows the process for watching - noticing - how what you are practicing is or is not taking you closer to the ideal you are achieving. Problem is most people don't know what they are shooting for. So they are easy targets for those who promise the right steps. As our discussion farther down alluded to - knowing where you are going illuminates the path. Or as I learned from a 19th century card cheat - "You'll never know how unless you know why."
