Can anyone help with a resource, or ideas?

I am looking for resources that would help me reach private investors / angel investors (for a client/business I am working with). The idea is to reach this market by running ads in targetted ezines and web sites (i.e. community sites where these folks might frequent or ezines they might read). Can anyone share any places that fit what I am looking for?

It would be particularly helpful if you coud point me to their media kit/advertisers page. Please feel free to e-mail these resources to me... Greatly appreciated. - Josh

my site.. not the company I am trying to help in the post :-)

Finding angel investors....

I know that many angel investors do join up to form loose networks, which makes it easier to contact many of them. Here are a couple places you can find a variety of links to these kinds of networks:

The Open Directory's list of links

and also

Yahoo's list of links

I don't have personal experience myself with angel investors, but I do have a good friend who raised several million dollars in seed capital for her company during the days of the dot-com boom. (Unfortunately, her company is one of those which went bust....)

By the way, for those who may not know, a venture capitalist is essentially a COMPANY which invests, whereas angel investors are wealthy INDIVIDUALS who invest in start-ups.

I've been told that it's usually much easier to get funding from angel investors than from VCs, for those who may be looking for funding for themselves. By getting funding from a variety of angel investors, you can potentially raise a few million dollars in "seed capital" for your business venture - as long as you can convince them that it's a "good bet" for them!
