I agree.... "believing" isn't easy....

That's a great post to ponder over....

Gordon, I've also tried to help others towards "success" before.... The fact that you have been doing this for years really shows in your posts.... they reflect a great deal of experience.

Ever since I was a child, I liked to help support those around me to achieve success.... but I don't have the deep understanding of human psychology that YOU do, Gordon....

The one thing that I've found has worked with helping *some* people is telling them that YOU BELIEVE in THEIR dreams and aspirations....

That you believe they can do it.

The problem with this technique is that it needs to be frequent and it can take years....

I had a girlfriend who really thought she was terrible looking.... It turns out that this is what her mother told her for years....

I told her over and over and over how truly beautiful she was.... She would often deny it and even argue back with me....

It took a while.... After a year or so, I noticed that her attitude had changed a bit.... She was more confident. She no longer argued back that she wasn't beautiful.... She knew she was beautiful, and it reflected in her behavior and confidence....

Nothing had changed about her appearance.... The change was completely within....

She also believed the same thing about her intellect, and I kept telling her how smart and intelligent she was too....

If someone hears something over and over enough, they can't help it -- after a while, they'll believe it....

And this can work either positively or negatively.... I like to try to help support those around me by telling them that I believe in them (and I really do), because I know that this will help them -- in some small way -- to achieve their dreams....

But it takes years. Gordon, your techniques are much more powerful than my one very slow working technique....

Gordon, I believe the Square One Workshops can be a great help to society.... I know you know I believe that, just wanted to say it here again....
