Wrong links in emails?
All of a sudden about a third to a half of all links in emails/newsletters I receive either don't work at all or take you to some place else (albeit usually on the same site). Anyone else notice this sudden rise in non-valid links? My system is fine so it's not that.
Guess we all need to validate and/or check those links before sending, folks! I see on another forum that several folks are having crashing problems when they connect to places they normally go to without a problem. What's going on these days anyway? Wondering if it could be a patch or update somewhere along the line that's messing things up suddenly. Anyone have any info? Has to be something going on when all of a sudden I get multiples of multiple emails from various folks, too. Awful lot of server shuffling, and re-subscribing, going on as a result. Please tell me the whole internet world isn't falling apart all of a sudden. Sandi Bowman |
Re: Wrong links in emails?
Sandi,
The whole internet World is falling apart. :) Well just Maybe... Every once in awhile and more Lately... And I Hope "Not" But I often Question if some email marketers are using this method as a Marketing Tactic to enable "Repeat" email marketing... Thinking and "Testing" if we Try this once in awhile will Sales possibly increase? Or will Subscribers say "BYE" "BYE" to these Tactics? Is there really a Possible Email Conspiracy... And/or these Type of email Tactics going on? Definitely, some Food for Thought... Phil |
