PICS TO PAINTINGS
 

saw this at a car show and have done a search with the above terms and having trouble finding more than one source...

so thought I would run it past yall and see if you have any experience with this idea...'

the guy had cars and PET portraits ...took your picture of whatever...and delivered an OIL painting the next week....looked great too...

ps...friend of mine got a loan of sorts for 3k for 2 weeks...sounds like a loan shark, but he wanted some ideas on how to double his money ..and I thought I would ak here..

I like the hotel tv guide myself and think I will partner with him on that...we just dont have a lot of Mom and Pop operations around here...altho we have a ton of PATELs....

Which programs did you come up with Bob? Seems Corel has something called Painter 1X.5. I wonder if that's what the other guy was using. In a mall I recently came across a kiosk what turned a basic photo shot -- taken there, automatically -- into photos looking like either paintings, or sketches (pencil, charcoal, ect), depending upon what one chose. I took a couple of myself. Neat stuff.

Hotel TV Guides
 

The name "Patel" in India is the same as "Smith" here.

Most of the Comfort Inns, TravelLodges, Best Value Inns, Value Check Inns are owned by "Patels" in my area. Nice people and extremely willing to let me place my Guides in their rooms.

Only problem with the "Patels" is....they are somewhat hard to understand and ....they don't know the names of the owners of local pizza places and restaurants BUT....they DO know WHICH Pizza Places and Restaurants THEY recommend to their guests....so...I go with that.

I think Pete is a bit peeved at Don for buying his hot sheet program, reading it and turned around and wanted and got refund.

I remember an Atlanta Braves player named Pete Smith. Doesn't sound right if he's named Pete Patel.....

Pss......All of the HJ's around my area are owned by the Patel family. In fact they own a house (2 million dollar range) in which 18 Patels share the residence. We call it the Patel Hotel. And btw its not a Howard Johnsons........

check this out ....you can access their training anad get samples...they use 4 by 6 cards...map on one side with the hotel location and the advertisers location..and onthe baack are the ads ...raning in price from 1050 to 400...they print up 30 to 50 k ...

anyway ...

for the plastic frames to hold the guides, I would check with a restaurant supply if Don's deal requires a menu holder type frame...
