Re: salesman's prayer....from jabez
Bob;
The quote is from 1 Chronicles 4:10, and reads as follows: "Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil." I have it in my office, my wife has it on the frig, and I keep a copy of it on the dashboard of my truck. It's worth remembering, IMHO. Pete |
Re: salesman's prayer....from jabez
I'm not a complete stranger to the Bible (although you couldn't tell, sometimes) but I had never heard of the Prayer of Jabez until the popular book came out.
It was recommended by some Amway/Quixtar friends from a previous life. I ordered the book from B&N and it came on a Saturday afternoon but didn't read it until that night. I was knocked over. The next day we had already planned on visiting a new church. Well, I was fired up about the book and when I saw a friend there, I asked him if he had ever heard of it. His reply was "that is the basis of what we do here" or something like that. I attend that church still, 6 years later. Who says God doesn't guide us? |
Re: salesman's prayer....from jabez

Re: salesman's prayer....from jabez
It's a non-denominational church Harvest Community.
The church started about 7 years ago in a garage with about 3 families. Today, I'm guessing weekly attendance is around 400+ Keep in mind, we're in a very small town. Very mission oriented. If you're ever near Kittanning Pa., stop in; e'd love to see you. Larry |
Your own "Church of Business"
Bob...
No offense to any religion here... But Thought I'd "Twist" this thread a little... Think about opening... Your own "Church of Business" :) It's a Niche... Few are Doing Locally. ;) Churches are also Great for Networking and Pre-selling... Who Knows... maybe business opportunities and other Nichier markets! And if you Creatively Joint Venture with Churches and Give/Donate part of the Profits... You're in the "Church of Business" :) http://www.churchmarketingsucks.com/ http://www.churchbusiness.com/ http://www.churchmarketing.com/ And Googling will give you Lots more ideas... Phil |
