Whatta Way to Live!!
 

I've just finished reading a FANTASTIC book that anybody on this list should enjoy. (I don't have any financial interest in it, by the way.) It's called WHAT A WAY TO LIVE...AND MAKE A LIVING, by Roger Griffith. It's about mail order and direct marketing pioneer Lyman P. Wood, who's sold everything from $400 Roto Tillers to PRAYERS by mail since the 1920s and 1930s. Lyman started his enterprises with one major goal in mind--to live in the country. From there, he launched many mail order businesses, a consulting business, and many, many partnerships. The book is both biographical (much of it is also in Wood's own words) and "how-to." It's full of wonderful anecdotal material and valuable info. And it's FUN to read, unlike so many business books. I bought my copy through Amazon. I recommend it highly!!
