Selling shoes

Does anyone else think it is wierd for a shoe company to pay a woman to represent their company on television, who is so over weight she can't see her own shoes when wearing them?

it depends

on the market they're targeting...
having been "overweight"(fat or whatever)
it is difficult finding shoes which
are comfortable...perhaps "overweight"
people are their market...
Then again : who knows?

Re: Selling shoes

Just look at the stats on overweight Americans...it is a big market(no pun intended), and those that are overweight are tired of seeing 'Twiggy' types of models.

Hmmm - well, they obviously got

your attention, got you talking - so perhaps the ad was very effective. It's getting harder to make your advertising "different" - good luck to the company for daring to buck the trend of using ultra thin models. Mind you, the advertising which I most like uses humour!
