Here's another BIG MONEY program
 

I thought I'd SHARE a NEW money-making idea I just came up with;

Get out your pencils and put on your "thinking caps"...."Professor Don is going to teach you something!"

I just finished setting up a program where I got 8 Hotels to allow me to mount my "INFO BOARDS" on the wall of their lobbies. A total of over 500 rooms.

This Info Board has a MAP of the area with ads around it of interest to Hotel Guests.

I have room for 18 advertisers and as I was talking to one advertiser (the owner of the nicest restaurant in my town)....he asked me if I could arrange to also have his MENU available at the front desk of each of these locations.

I checked with the hotel managers and they all said fine...in fact...one manager gave me a GREAT IDEA. An Idea I probably would not have gotten had I NOT been "in the field talking to real business people".

Here's what it is;

Take the MENUS of local restaurants and place them in a nice BINDER and place the binder on a nice, free-standing wood desk which can set on a coffee table or it's own lectern-type stand. Anchor the Binder so it can't be removed.

Now...when a guest asks the clerk, "Where's a good Mexican restaurant?"....or, "Where's a good Chinese place"...etc....the desk clerks can point them to the "Menu-Desk".

Now....WHY is THIS a "BIG" potential money maker?

Because restaurants must "SELL THEIR FOOD"! If they don't it gets stale and must be tossed away and they must close their doors.

So...restaurants are LOOKING FOR WAYS TO HELP SELL THEIR FOOD!

Having their MENUS in a handy place, easily accessible to people who MUST EAT AT A RESTAURANT....is VERY ENTICING to restaurant owners.

So...as I was putting this one together I was thinking I could probably get $700 to $800 a Year from each restaurant.

To "test" this price point I ran the idea by 3 restaurant owners who had bought an ad on my Info Boards....and they AGREED that $700 would be fine with them. Then they asked me, "HOW SOON can I put it together?"

So...just from keeping my eyes and ears open...I'm off on another "AD"venture.

Let's see...this program is SO STRONG...I believe I can get 40 restaurants per town. 40 x $700 = $28,000 per town. Just five towns could be worth a cool $140,000 AND....THIS ONE would also be RENEWABLE by most all participants.

All from being aware and being in the REAL WORLD... mingling with REAL business people and not behind a PC screen.

Now...jot down some ideas...put together a Sample and a PLAN and .....GO DO IT! Restaurant owners are WAITING to give YOU their money!!!!....there's 343,000 of them in this country!

Thanks for sharing this - I think it's BRILLIANT!

It's one of those ideas which makes you think - Wow, that makes SO MUCH SENSE!

Finding a nice place to eat is a constant problem if you're in a strange location.... Many people will ask the hotel receptionist for advice, or wander the streets at random to find a nice place.... (I know this from experience.) But your idea makes a LOTTA sense!

That's a great idea Don. And if you're going to include a nice, free standing desk, why not make it (call it) a total "executive workstation". Just make the desk surface a little bigger, throw in some pens and pads and a local phone book, and this way the hotel is receiving a free way of providing their guests with an attractive place to sit and write things down and do some quick work. Just a small variation to an already great idea.

Can I ask a few questions please? I know it's a new idea, but I'll ask anyway...

For the price you mentioned, would that be for a fixed number of hotels?

Any problems from a hotel with its own restaurant?

Would the restaurant pay monthly, quarterly, yearly?

Would you have a "send me a new menu whenever you like and I'll update the guide" arrangement with the restaurants.

Are you only targeting the ones in which you have your wall maps?

If you have a moment to answer these queries, Don, I'd be grateful
