Referrals Strategy?

Anyone know of any articles or resources online that talk about using referrals to build a business? Specifically, how to motivate other professionals to recommend your services to their customers who need it.

I know I've read something SOMEWHERE about this sort of thing, but now that I need it... you know how it goes.

Here's one way...

Jim,

Pretty cool stuff you've got there...

How about using your Clickbank account, and take advantage of their affiliate program?

Just set it up and tell everyone about it...

Unfortunately ...

ClickBank can only be used to sell
digital (ie. downloadable) products
so CDs as in this case would not be
acceptable.

You are absolutely right, Harvey...

I forgot about that slight technicality. One thing I did in the past was offer a hard copy and a CD as a "Bonus" with a downloadable ebook that I was selling using Clickbank.

I sold the ebook...and sent the hard copy/CD combo as a bonus package delivered by snail mail.

I doubled the price of the ebook to cover the additional cost of the physical product that was shipped as a bonus. The total profit per sale went up although there was the additional expense of producing and shipping the hard copy bonus. It prevents having a totally automated system, but it is one option.
