Hey.. Don Alm.. WHA HOPPENED??
Don,
Several weeks ago you offered to send information concerning cleaning service station driveways to anyone that emailed you a request. I requested, and I'm still waiting!! Lest my request ended up in the email deadly-letters office, my email is: [email protected] Thank you very much, Mr. Alm.. SIR! Pete Egeler Allen Says Strikes Again!! |
Maybe it is your Yahoo! email address

> deadly-letters office, my email is: > [email protected] Thank you very much, Mr. > Alm.. SIR! A lot of service providers are installing spam filtering and blocking software as well as a lot of software for individual users to download. Different softwares uses different means for filtering. One of the most popular is MAPS, and there are two other major databases software can draw from to automatically filter spam (http://moensted.dk/spam/ AND http://www.samspade.org/t/rbl) Yahoo! has been in and out of the MAPS database a few times. Yahoo! raised a BIG STINK about it and got themselves unlisted, but that isn't to say that individual users and ISP's that draw from these databases have updated their software. And speaking of automatic filters that individuals can set up -- I have a filter on my email program that automatically downloads anything coming from YaHoo! to the delete folder. It never arrives in my "inbox." I calculated that in order to get one paying customer with a Yahoo! email address I had to sort through 20,000+ spam. It is much easier to live without that one customer. I am not saying that Don didn't get your message. I have no way of knowing. The point I wanted to make is that you may find in the future this happens with more frequency. If I block all Yahoo! email addresses, I expect there are others who do as well. Might be time to find another email address.... Best Regards, Steve MacLellan homebusiness-websites.com |
Thanks, Steve...
Thanks for the input, Steve. You may be right.
But, you know something? All you people hollar about "free" emails, and I don't get tons of spam from Yahoo! or HotMail users! I DO get a lot of spam from people using the supplied email setups with various MLM programs. At any rate, so that anyone ever wishing to contact me may do so with their heads held high, my PAID email address (The ones from my domains) are: [email protected] or [email protected] > A lot of service providers are installing > spam filtering and blocking software as well > as a lot of software for individual users to > download.
