Question about autorun" My Town" CD?
I can't seem to think of all the things that should go onto a My Town CD. Any suggestions?I did a search for my cities website to see what they had on it and I was surprised to find the website was very uninteresting. As it didn't really have anything on it that would have made me want to visit. If I had asked the chamber of commerce to mail me this info I would have been upset with the lack of any real content.
any suggestions of all the important information (Photos ) that I should include? Plus I'm not sure what to say to merchants to get them to want to pay to be included on the CD.Any suggestions in this area also? Thanks again for all your help and guidence. James |

Hi James,
I'd think perhaps you need to "step back" for a moment, and take a look around you. Why DO people come to your town? The State Fair? Great Fishing Lakes? Top Notch Hunting? Historic places of interest? Old battle fields? Sandy Beaches? Got the idea? :) Now, work from there! BTW, you could also use these "attractions" to draw attention to your town/cd via Internet Promotion! Pete > I can't seem to think of all the things that > should go onto a My Town CD. I did that myself after reading a post from Don Alm about this topic recently. The brochures I received (no CD in the packet) list all the major attractions with street addresses, websites and other info. Plus, there are lots of ads. That's a handy list of prospects to approach. Here are some examples: parks, botannical gardens, planetarium, sports stadium, university library, theaters, museums, malls, restaurants, hotels, bed and breakfasts, nightclubs, golf courses, skating, tennis, swimming pools, radio stations, churches, mass transit, limosine services, car rentals, airports, hospitals, realtors, banks, schools, construction companies and apartments.
