How reliable affiliate programs can be?

Hi again all

It's D.D. from small lil island at the other side of the earth here! :) .... I would like to thank you so much for the warmth welcomes and helpful responses! A small little heaven in this wide wide world (WWW) hehehe ....

Anyway, here i m again with a new question ... seeking for insights with people with more exposure.

I have seen so many websites proclaiming how easy it is to make money through the power of internet (honestly I believe in it).. one of it is through affiliate programs. But, how can we make sure if that particular company is reliable? How can we know we have XXX amount of sales and XXX amount of commission? And whether they will pay us or not. Though if there are softwares which able to track all these, it's still not so convinicing, isn't it? :o ... hhmm ...

Has anybody had more experiences in this issue? Hope you can contribute some of your time and effort in typing it out hehehehe! Zillion thanks in advance!!!

Sincerely

D.D.

D.D.

Every morning, millions of people go to work. Each evening, some of those millions come home and don't have to go to work the next morning. They have been given the boot. Downsized, if you prefer the "softer" term.

They had no idea they were going to be tossed aside like last year's fashion when they went to work in the morning. They "trusted" their employer.

If no one trusted their employer, no one would ever do a good job. No one would bother being on time. No one would care one iota. Why bother? Why care? The bastard is only going to sack us anyway.

And what kind of world would we be living in if that was the case?

The same could be said of any software used to automate the affiliate program and handle the payouts. Even Clickbank.

After all... who is to know whether Clickbank actually lets you know about every purchase, right? I mean... couldn't they keep one in one thousand transactions to themselves and make more money?

Sure they could. But what would happen if one of those who bought, which Clickbank kept, contacted the creator of the product to complain or give praise?

The seller would go back through the Clickbank records and see no such transaction. Questions would then be asked of Clickbank. Doubt would enter the minds of sellers. They would take their business elsewhere. Clickbank would died a slow internet death.

Not worth it for Clickbank to do that.

What if Clickbank goes bust before sending the money they owe you?

What if your boss goes bust before payday?

There is no 100% undeniable certainty that you will get every single penny (or part of a penny down to the sixth decimal place). But a 99.999999% payout should be close enough to perfect to be acceptable.

If in doubt... go with those who use third party payment processors - like Clickbank, Paysystems, etc.

And if you want to find a whole bunch of affilate programs and information on affilate programs, then check out Allan Gardyne's Associate Programs website at: http://www.associateprograms.com/index.shtml

Here's a tip for you - FOCUS!

Hi D.D.

Best tip I can give you is this - FOCUS. Pick something you want to do and DO IT. Otherwise you'll be all over the place like a mad dog's breakfast!

The Internet is absolutely the WORST place on Earth for getting distracted. Revisit this forum in 3 months and then tell me if I was right:-)

Good luck

Philip

Re: Affiliate Programs R Us

D.D., not all affiliate programs are 'affiliate-friendly'. Not all of them eagerly help their affiliates.

If you have any question about a particular affiliate program you're interested in, don't hesitiate to get in touch with them. See how helpful they are.

It's usually better to work with affiliate programs that's more than 1 tier. You can get paid from your sub-affiliates' marketing effort. It can add up to a good sum in a year.

If you need any help, feel free to drop me a line.
