Wishing Jim Straw A Speedy Recovery
I just found out on another marketing board that Jim Straw, one of the great ones of marketing, recently suffered a heart attack. I know no more details than this.
Jim has visited here a number of times in the past and has always given freely of himself and his bottomless knowledge of marketing. I'd like to wish Jim all the best and let him know that he is in my thoughts and prayers. Rick Smith, "The Net Guerrilla" |
A Class Act...
You know the one thing Jim does that is very impressive... no matter what the question he does his best to answer it. He gives you the answer without resorting to "Well, you need to buy my product in order to find out". Class.
Take care, Mike Winicki |
Another measure of class...
...I sent him my first ebook in 2000 "How to Sell Web Sites Like Wildfire".
Jim was under no obligation to review it He raved about the book and gave me an unsolicited testimonial, which added so much weight it was directly responsible for putting a lot of money in my pocket. How many of the 'names' out there would have done that *just* to be helpful. As Michael says...sheer class Get well soon Jim Andy Frain Why the rules of selling have changed |
I also hope Jim will get well soon....
I have to agree with all that's been said here.... Jim has helped me with excellent advice in the past. He's a true entrepreneur who I have a very high respect for.
(And I don't need to say - his writings are must-reads if you want to be a successful entrepreneur too.) I pray that he will have a speedy recovery. - Dien Rice |
Re: Another measure of class...
Andy,
I know just what you mean! Jim did the same for me in January, and even wrote back and asked me for the URL for my sales page. He then posted it in this months "eLetter".
