Dien, Michael here's an idea

Hiya

I've thought for a while that some kind of index would be good for TGIL.

If you somehow had a kind of useful index for topics in past issues, printed in each week's letter, but only made the isues they refer to available to those who pay for a year, then you'd achieve two things. Benefit to those who pay, and a weekly hook to those on lesser subscription periods (like me) and people trying it out, to persuade them to take it for a year.

As time goes by the hook will inevitably get bigger and bigger, because the index of issues they CAN'T get their hands on will grow each week.

Just a thought

Thanks Philip....

I think that's an excellent idea! I'll talk it over with Michael (we talk on the phone regularly)....

Thanks again for the suggestion. :)

...this is similar to what I was alluding to in an earlier post that I made (see thread below):

http://www.sowpub.com/cgi-bin/forum/webbbs_config.pl?read=12159

- People who sign for 12-months get a "bonus" with their subscription (the bonus being access to back issues)

- People will be enticed to take out a long term subscription which is better for you.

It's a classic "win-win" situation!

regards,
Adam
